  1. Day 1

    Amarbayasgalant Monastery

    Head out on a 360 km drive to reach one of Mongolia's three largest Buddhist monastic centers located in Selenge Province. Once there, you'll meet with monks and walk through the monastery grounds, which sit surrounded by mountains and rivers. The afternoon includes hiking around the natural area before settling into a ger for the night.

  2. Day 2

    Uran-togoo Volcanic Crater

    Travel 300 km on paved road to get to Uran Togoo, an extinct volcanic crater that contains a lake and forests inside its walls. The crater rises 1,686 meters with a 500-meter diameter and 50-meter depth. You'll do a short hike around the crater area, then head to a motel beside the paved road for the night.

  3. Day 3

    Khovsgol Lake

    Drive 200 km on off-road terrain to reach one of Mongolia's biggest lakes. A motor boat trip takes you out to Khadan khui island where you can make a wish, and then you'll explore four islands including Modon khui, Khadan khui, Dalai khui, and Baga khui. Watch for different fish species in the water. The lake has been a protected National Park since 1992 and locals still use it for transportation. Overnight happens at a ger camp right beside the lake.

    Travel 200 km through a mix of paved and off-road terrain to reach a nomadic family in the Darkhad depression, marking day one of your four-day reindeer family experience. You'll meet the family and prepare for a 40 km horse trek through spectacular mountain terrain that leads to the reindeer family's home deep in the taiga forest.

Soak in the therapeutic hot spring waters to reduce exhaustion and stress, which improves blood circulation and heals skin. In the evening, relax in the hot spring pool while gazing at the milky way. Overnight at a well-organized tourist camp with ger.
