Itinerary
- Day 1
Delhi
You'll arrive in Delhi whenever works for your flight, and your airport transfer is covered through the Women With Wheels project. Once you get to your hotel, you'll meet your CEO and the other travelers on your trip. If you're landing early in the day, there's a half day culinary tour of Delhi available as an optional add-on if you want to jump into the local food scene right away.

- Day 2
Delhi to Agra
Start your morning with a youth-led walk through Delhi's backstreets as part of the City Walk project, which works with at-risk youth in the area. After that, you'll do a guided walk through Old Delhi to see the historic parts of the city. Later in the day, you'll travel to Agra, where the Taj Mahal is located. The drive takes a few hours, so you'll arrive in the evening.

Agra
This morning you'll get up early to watch the sun rise over the Taj Mahal before most crowds arrive, then spend time walking through this iconic landmark in detail with a guide. In the afternoon, you'll visit the Baby Taj (I'timad-ud-Daulah) and Agra Fort to see more of the architectural work from that era. Both sites show different sides of Mughal design.

Agra to Dhula Village
You'll start by stopping at Fatehpur Sikri, a deserted former capital of the Mughals and UNESCO site that sits on a hilltop. From there, you'll visit the Abhaneri Stepwell, an unusual Indian water harvesting structure with hundreds of steps. In the afternoon, you'll travel to Dhula Village in rural Rajasthan where you're staying in tents. There you can learn about local life, play cricket, or cycle around the village.

Dhula Village to Jaipur
You'll head to Jaipur, the pink city, and on the way you'll stop for a block printing workshop with women from the Anoothi Project to learn this traditional craft. Once you arrive in Jaipur, your CEO will give an orientation tour of the city, explaining how it was built according to specific Hindu architectural principles that make it unique.

Jaipur
This morning you'll head to Amber Fort to see how the architecture blends Hindu and Muslim styles throughout the complex. From there, make your way to City Palace where you can walk around the grounds and courtyards. Later, stop by Hawa Mahal for photos of that distinctive pink structure with all its small windows. In the afternoon, you have options depending on what interests you - either join a cycle tour through the city streets or sign up for a cooking class with a local family to learn how they prepare traditional Rajasthani dishes.

Jaipur to Delhi
If you've arranged it ahead of time, take an optional hot air balloon ride early in the morning for views across Jaipur. After that, you'll head back toward Delhi in the afternoon by private vehicle, which takes a few hours depending on traffic. You'll have some free time during the day to explore more of Jaipur on your own if you'd like, or simply rest before the drive begins.

Delhi to Srinagar
You'll fly from Delhi to Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir. After you land and settle in, your CEO will take you on an orientation walk through the Lal Bazar market area in the evening so you can get a sense of the local market and street life.

Srinagar
This day is for exploring Srinagar, the largest city and summer capital of the region. You'll see Dal Lake and visit the Mughal gardens including Nishat, Shalimar, and Chashm-e-Shahi. There are also historic temples to check out if you're interested in religious sites.

Srinagar
You'll take a sunrise boat ride in a traditional Shikara across Dal Lake, then visit the Shankaracharya Temple, which is the oldest temple in Jammu and Kashmir. For the rest of the day, you can explore on your own, and there's a recommended safari at Dachigam National Park where you might see the Royal Kashmir stag. Tonight you'll sleep on a houseboat on Dal Lake.

Srinagar to Pahalgam
You'll drive to Pahalgam, making stops along the way at the Avantipura Temple Ruins and the Martand Sun Temple to see ancient architecture. You'll arrive in the afternoon, and your CEO will lead an orientation walk through the bazaar and downtown area so you know your way around.

Pahalgam to Sonamarg
You'll continue east through Jammu and Kashmir to the town of Sonamarg. On the way, you'll stop at Zero Point for views of glaciers and the surrounding mountains. Once there, you can walk around the Sonamarg Bazaar to see local shops and get a feel for the town.

Sonamarg to Lamayuru
You'll cross into Ladakh, which people call 'Little Tibet' because of its high-altitude cold desert landscape and Buddhist culture. You'll stop at the Kargil War Memorial along the way. For the night, you're staying at the Lamayuru Monastery guesthouse, which gives you a rare chance to see how the monks live and what they do day-to-day.

Lamayuru to Leh
Before leaving the monastery, you'll attend the morning prayer ceremony with the monks. After that, you'll travel deeper into Ladakh toward Leh, stopping at Sangam Point to see where the Indus and Zanskar Rivers meet. You'll also stop at Magnetic Hill, an optical illusion where roads seem to go uphill when they go down, and at Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, an important Sikh pilgrimage site. You'll reach Leh in the afternoon and do an orientation walk through the Leh Market.
