Lima
You'll arrive in Lima and get settled into your accommodation in Miraflores. Your Yes-Trips Leader will meet you there and help you get your bearings around the area. The evening is for connecting with the rest of your travel group and getting ready for what's coming next.

Lima to Arequipa
A domestic flight takes you to Arequipa, known as the White City, which sits at 3,399 meters (11,150 feet) above sea level. You're taking things slow today with a relaxed walking tour through the historic streets as your body starts adapting to the altitude.

Arequipa
This morning you'll check out Arequipa's colorful traditional market where locals shop for everything from fresh produce to textiles. Later, you head to scenic viewpoints for views of the White City and the volcanoes rising around it. Between the market and the mountain views, you're getting a real sense of the region's character and culture.

Arequipa to Colca Canyon
You travel to Colca Canyon to walk through the dramatic landscapes and watch for alpacas in their natural surroundings. Once you finish exploring for the day, there's an option to soak in the natural hot springs at La Calera where you can see the mountains from the water.

Colca Canyon to Puno
Deeper into Colca Valley, you'll spend time watching the sky for Andean condors soaring above the canyon. You'll pass through local villages and learn how people live in this remote area, then continue heading toward Puno, which serves as your gateway to Lake Titicaca.

Puno - Lake Titicaca
Welcome to Lake Titicaca at 3,812 meters (12,507 feet), the world's highest navigable lake. You'll take a boat out to the Uros floating islands, which are built from totora reeds, and spend time experiencing the unique culture and landscape of this legendary place.

Puno to Cusco
You head up through the Andes toward Cusco, your entry point to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. The route includes stops at lesser-known spots and local highlights that turn this travel day into its own kind of adventure rather than just getting from one place to another.

Cusco to Aguas Calientes
This morning starts in the Sacred Valley where you'll see the ruins and market at Pisac. After that, you move on to Ollantaytambo, the only Inca town that's still inhabited today. Later, you board the train that winds through cloud forest to Aguas Calientes, your last stop before Machu Picchu.

Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu
Today you arrive at Machu Picchu, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. You'll walk through the ancient site with its stone temples emerging from the mist and feel the history across every terrace. By evening, you return to Cusco by train or a combination of coach and train.

Cusco
You get to explore Cusco on your own terms at your own pace. After breakfast at the hostel, you head out to discover what interests you in the city, whether that's colonial architecture, museums, or local neighborhoods.

Cusco to Puerto Maldonado
Everything changes today as you trade the cool Andean altitude for warm, humid jungle air. One hour after leaving Cusco at 3,399 meters (11,150 feet), you arrive in Puerto Maldonado at just 183 meters (600 feet), and the climate shift is immediate. From the airport, you head straight to your jungle lodge for your base over the next several days in the Amazon rainforest.

Puerto Maldonado - Amazon Rainforest
You paddle through jungle rivers in row canoes and walk forest trails with local guides who show you how the Amazon ecosystem actually works. Keep watching for monkeys, colorful birds, and caimans throughout the day. After the sun sets, you head out on a night walk to hear and experience the rainforest's nocturnal sounds and activity.

Puerto Maldonado - Local Community
You spend time with a local community learning about how people live and what their traditions are in the rainforest. In the evening, there's a farewell dinner featuring Amazon specialties like juane and freshly caught river fish prepared the traditional way, giving you a real taste of the region before moving on.

Puerto Maldonado to Lima
A domestic flight takes you back from the jungle to Lima. After exploring mountains, lakes, and rainforest, you have your last evening together in Peru before heading home, time to reflect on everything you've seen.

Lima - Departure
It's time to say goodbye after 15 days across Peru. You can catch your flight home today, or if you want to extend things, there's the option to add an extra night in Lima and leave tomorrow instead.
