  Campanile Hotel at Limojes was not good , Mama Shelter Dijon their is no kettlefor boiling water and drink tea or coffee , Breakfast not good in the Novotel paris last day...At Veseley visit no good organization for passengers to take lunch My suggestion : better to do dinner at the beginning of trip and at the mid and at the end of trip..the guides and the drivers was excellent.Show more

Regarding the hotels, all were carefully reviewed and meet the booked category: they are 4-star hotels, comfortable and suitable, though not luxury properties. Concerning the kettle in the room, this is not a common amenity in Europe, and this is always clearly indicated on our website prior to purchase. We regret that the breakfast at the Novotel in Paris did not meet your expectations; we will share your comments with the hotel for improvement. As for the lunch organization in Veselay, the itinerary is designed to optimize travel logistics, but we always take travelers’ suggestions into account for future trips. We are pleased to hear that the guides and drivers were excellent, and we truly appreciate your positive comments.   This was a great tour. We loved how Margaux our guide brought every place to life with stories about the history that were both captivating & educational. Margaux possess that rare combination of storytelling and intelligence to engage even the most difficult of people. Her natural energy and enthusiasm are contagious & our time with Margaux showing us the country she loves, felt way too short Margaux's command of English goes very deep affording her the ability to not just communicate, but comprehend personality quirks & smooth any situation. She also gets & makes jokes in English & explains French concepts with ease. Some locations which stand out for me are Rocamadour, Lourdes & Carcassonne - this really was a Magnificent tour of FranceShow more

  Arturo, our second tour guide, was great - seemed knowledgeable, helpful, etc. The hotels were as expected - mediocre. The third tour guide, Patricia, seemed scatterbrained and didn’t even show up in Marseille to meet us. We were not clear whether it was her or a Europamundo scheduling issue. Overall, there were many organizational issues - not enough time in places, arriving too late at night and the only dinner option being the hotel. At the end of our trip, guests had to be taken to three different hotels which made us lose an hour and a half in Paris. In short…. Meh.Show more

Moreover, in exceptional circumstances like breakdowns, traffic delays, adverse weather, or complex situations, the order of visits or destinations may be altered. She was able to speak 3 languages and because the English speaking group was so small, 5 of us, she took great care to ensure we were very comfortable and informed.   I started the tour on June 2 and while the sites we visited were good, the experience was disappointing. 1. This tour was more of an independent/self guided tour. The guide would take us to the middle of our stop. tell us what time to meet back there or the bus. there was very little info given to us regarding the history, suggestions of what to see or places to eat. A detailed itinerary did not come until May 31. If I knew we would not have the opportunity to spend time to tour the city that we were staying in overnight i would have selected a different trip. the first morning we met at the bus. there were no introductions. the bus was freezing the guide was sitting downstairs and we were not checked on or given info. we changed busses at lunch in Tours At hotel campanile my room was stinky I barely slept. they couldn’t give us a different room because the hotel was booked. The guide gives very little info on the schedule and along the drive. the trip always seemed rushed. The times on the itinerary were often changed in the morning leaving us getting to the final destination hours later. On Day 6 in the morning bus was freezing in the afternoon from castle to marseille - a 4 hour drive it was too hot. When we took a break i asked the guide if they knew it was hot upstairs and he said the air conditioning isn’t working. However, he never once communicated that with the guests. The guide had us back on the bus to leave and the driver locked the doors, turned the bus off and went for a cigarette and washroom break while we were suffering from the heat! Is it customary on a guided tour to have clients take their suitcases to and from the coach? This differs from other guided tours I have taken. Covid safety measures. Some seatbelts on the bus on Day 6 did not work. The only bus that appeared to be cleaned is from Day 7. There is no masking regulation/suggestion. The guide appeared to have a cold. Two guests who left Day 7 tested positive for covid. We were not informed of this. we were not told there would be multiple pickups and drop off of guests. That is a big concern for some guests. I asked about seeing a doctor on day 2 or 3. He told me to call my insurance company - never followed up with me to see if I needed anything. There was no rotation of guests so that everyone gets a chance to sit up front. In my experience the tour guide: Greets everyone on the bus in the morning. How was your stay? Did you empty your safe. Then tells the guests how the day will proceed. As you are driving the guide gives information regarding the area in which you are travelling. When you arrive at a stop the guide walks you through the area and gives the history. for example a church visit - the guide goes with the guests, gives the history and then makes suggestions for other things to see in the area and restaurants to visiit. None of these occurred with the Magnificent France tour. Day 6 on our itinerary did not have any detail other than the stops. when i asked the guide about what we would be doing he told me to look at the itinerary. i explained that it’s not there. He then told me individually. I asked him to announce it so everyone would know. some guests couldn’t access the itinerary. I felt like asking questions or for a bathroom break, when driving more than two hours, was not welcome. It seemed to me that guide had never led a tour prior to this.
