I will never use this company again. We were picked up at the airport and dropped at the hotel in Rome which was Ergife and it was an old hotel that needed upkeep. Since the tour did not start until the evening we planned our own day. The first tour guide Gaetano had no voice. He had gotten sick and he really should have been replaced. We were not informed of anything. He did not give us any welcome speech, nothing. This was our first time using this company. We were dropped in via Cavour to eat. They should really give more time to eat. They gave us an hour and we felt rushed, for no reason. Day 2 Rome was a busy day. Paola the tour guide was good. We did colosseum, imperial fortress and Vatican City. After the Sistine chapel we were sent to eat and again they only gave us 45 min to do that. Well we never made it to the walking tour bc our food was slow. We were not refunded for that either. We did our own thing and saw tons of stuff. Florence, was fine, tour guide was knowledgeable but again we were left to shop and do our own thing. Venice, Gaetano ran ahead of the group to get to the murano factory and we had to run to keep up with him. The tour guide after that was awful. She said a few things as we walked to the church and then she left us. As did Gaetano, he tapped out. We learned more from Gabriella in 10 minutes than we did from three days w Gaetano . We took our gondola ride which was nice. The stay city hotel was average, and there is nothing in the area. Hotels should have places to eat nearby. Austria, we got a new guide Mario. Innsbruck, kitzbuhl and Salzburg, all felt very rushed. Dropped in a town to shop/eat. Austria is a beautiful country. Vienna and Budapest. Vienna tour guide was great, and we did a lot on our own the afternoon. We were told we would go to grinzing area for dinner, again we given 1 hour to eat! We actually never got our food and had to leave the restaurant without eating dinner for no reason! Do they not understand that in Europe it takes time to get your food. And we were only going to the hotel so it’s not like there was something that we had to rush for. Terrible! We pre ordered optional outings in both vienna and Budapest which the company never purchased in time and things were then sold out. They say it’s bc they didn’t have enough ppl to go but that’s bs, bc a lot of ppl in the group wanted to go. The company dropped the ball on the concert in Vienna and the dinner in Budapest. Had I known I would’ve booked something for my family to do instead but that’s hard to do at the last minute. And then you can’t reach anyone to complain. We made the most out of the vacation but the company does not care about clients and I will not use their services again.

May 2023. There were several negatives and positives about this tour. Firstly, the guide Francesca in Rome was not very helpful or considerate of the paying occupants. She left my husband and I in Venice and we almost lost our Optional gondola ride. She said that they were leaving to go the gondola site at 4pm at a particular meeting point at the Murano glass factory. We arrived at the meeting point at 3.57 pm and waited together with another couple on the tour but did not see her. Fortunately, I saw Gabriela, the other guide at 4:07 pm and told her that we were waiting to go on the gondola ride but did not see Francesca. When Gabriela phoned her, Francesca mentioned that they were already on the ride and it was our fault because we were late. My husband and I were furious. Basically she decided to leave earlier because most of the group were already there and she did not care if two people were missing. In addition to this, she was very inconsiderate of the fact that these cities were new to everyone on the bus, and getting back to the meeting points at her designated time, people could get lost. We were very grateful to Gabriela for helping us to finally get a gondola ride. Francesca also left a mother and daughter in a different city and they had to pay €42.00 to an Uber to get to the hotel. They got lost and could not get to the meeting point on time. This was a frequent problem, so everyone started to cut their free time by half hour in an effort to look for the designated spot. We were in a different city every day so we had to try learn the way back to the meeting point. Free time to walk around each city was usually one or one and a half hours. This always had to be reduced because we needed half hour to get back on time, since we knew that she would leave us. On another note, the hotel in Rome was horrible, there was no air conditioning in our rooms and when we asked the front desk, they said that they do not put on the air conditioning until June and we had to sleep with the windows open. Fortunately the hotels in the other cities were good. During the city center segment of the tour, the guides were very knowledgeable with respect to the history of each city. We spent four hours each day on the bus getting to the next city, and only had half day in each city which is not enough to explore. Another big problem was that they paired English, Spanish and Portuguese speaking people on the same bus. There were several times when the english speaking people did not get enough information in our language. After we spoke to our guide, they separated us, which made the situation much better. Fortunately, we had a very sweet and considerate guide called Carmen Patricia during the second half our the tour which made the balance of the trip pleasant and tolerable. Positives on this tour: We formed great friendships with people from different countries during our time on the bus as everyone experienced the same issues. We bonded and tried to help each other.

Never again would I travel with this tour company. (Europomunda) The tour guide left people behind. I understood after a few days how it works: bus to city, local guide, dump tourists in the shopping area for hours, maybe pick them up late at night to go to a hotel way out of the city. Obviously cheap. No way to access personal belongings during this time if needed.

The tour was well put together. The destinations were great and guides were good. Antonio was the best guide ever!! Very energetic and positive, and knowledgeable. He definitely gets 5/5 points. The only complaint is the hotel in Florence (West Florence hotel). This was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in my entire life. The room was so outdated, have to buy WiFi access, food was pretty bad and water in the shower was room temperature. No idea who rated that place 4*. Other than that, the tour was good and I’d do it all over again.
