  On the optional transport from Madrid to the boat, is the pick up/drop off at the Madrid airport? What are the scheduled times for pick up & drop off? I'm trying to figure out flight times for my arrival & departure & want to take these optional transports

    The pickup point will be confirmed later, but it will be at a train station between 08:00 and 09:00. We suggest booking one night at a hotel to give you the opportunity to visit Madrid. For the return transfer, we expect to be back in Madrid around 15:00.

    The time for your transport (optional) To pick us up in Madrid will not work for us. Can you suggest other ways, with costs, to get from Madrid airport to the boat?

    What time would be convenient for you? Our optional transfer is scheduled to depart in the morning, around 8:00–9:00 AM. The bus will also stop in Salamanca so passengers can have a short walk and lunch (not included in the price), and then continue to Vega de Terrón (river port). The drive alone takes about 5 hours. Check-in is from 3:00 PM, and the bus will arrive in time for check-in. This is the most optimal transfer schedule from Madrid. Other options would be to take either a private transfer/car directly from Madrid to Vega de Terrón or a public bus. But we can't oversee these options.

    We decided todo as you said & fly in the day before so we can get the bus transport from you. We will be flying into Madrid airport & will need to book a hotel room as close to the pick up point as possible as we have never been there before. Can you give me an idea of the area the pick Up train stop will be in? An address? I need something to look up hotels

    Unfortunately, I can't give you the exact address at the moment, because we are still finalizing it with the transfer company. Madrid has a very accessible and fast public transport (Metro, buses) you will have no troubles getting to any point. There are also buses and metro connection to the airport. I would recommend choosing a hotel closer to the city center, so you could use that 1 day (or 1 evening) to see the center of Madrid. And in the morning you can get to the pickup point.

    Another question is how & when do we pay for the transfers to & from Madrid to the ship? Does it need to be Euros? Laundry services? Does that mean a washer & dryer we can use on board?

    At the moment, we do not yet have information on the exact starting point of the bus journey. As soon as we receive the details, we will let you know. The transfer cost will be added to your booking confirmation so that you can pay it together with the cruise fare. Regarding laundry services, the housekeeping team onboard provides this service. Prices vary depending on the type of material and clothing. Please note that there are no washers or dryers available for public use.

  Are there any triple cabins on the ship?

    Unfortunately, triple cabins are not available on board the MS Douro Cruiser. However, we can offer a double cabin for single use with the following supplements:
    -50% supplement on the main deck
    -100% supplement on the upper deck

    Can you please explain what 50% and 100% supplement means?

    + 50% supplement is added to the cabin on the main deck - total price is for 1,5 person
    + 100% supplement is added on the upper deck - total as if for two persons
    
    Please also advise if the third person is an adult or child. If child then the child can share the cabin with parents, we will additionally add the children discount depedning the age.
