Itinerary
- Day 1
Kosice to Poprad
After being picked up from Kosice Airport or Rail Station, you'll head to Poprad where the day really opens up. The Podtatranske museum and Tatra Gallery give you a good sense of the region's history and art, then you can wander through Namestie v. Egidias square, checking out the local shops and grabbing coffee at one of the cafes. Later, make your way to the medieval town of Spiska Sobota where the burgher houses are well-preserved and the Church of St George sits as a focal point.

Morskie Oko (Poland)
Today you're doing a full-day guided winter hike to Morskie Oko, which is Poland's most famous glacial lake. The hike runs about 2 hours each way depending on snow conditions, and you'll be surrounded by snow-covered Tatra peaks the whole time. It's a long day but worth it for the alpine views. By evening you'll head back to Slovakia, so plan on getting tired but satisfied.

Stary Smokovec to Hrebienok
Start with a hike from Stary Smokovec up to Hrebienok, where you'll find the Ice Church. The thing about this church is it features a different replica each year, so it changes based on what's being celebrated. From Hrebienok you've got options for the rest of your day - head out to see waterfalls, go to Zamkovskeho Chata, or trek to Teryho Chata. You can mix and match depending on your energy and what interests you.

- Day 4
Strbske Pleso to Popradske Pleso
You'll be based at Strbske Pleso, the High Tatras' main winter resort for the day's activities. From there, hike to Popradske Pleso with a stop at a mountain hut along the way where you can warm up. There's a scenic frozen lake walk included, which is a nice change of pace from the hiking. In the afternoon, you'll get dropped off at Kosice Airport, Kosice rail station, or Poprad rail or bus station depending on your travel plans.
