Itinerary
- Day 1
Bangkok
You'll arrive at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport and head to your hotel for check-in. After your long flight, you can rest and grab lunch whenever you're ready. This is mainly a settling-in day, so take your time adjusting to the time zone and getting comfortable at your accommodation.

Bangkok
Following breakfast, you'll head out to see Bangkok's major temples and palaces. Start at the Grand Royal Palace and Wat Phra Kaew to see the Emerald Buddha, then continue to Wat Pho for the giant reclining Buddha and Wat Traimit's Golden Buddha. Later in the afternoon, you'll take a long-tail boat along the Chao Phraya River and quieter canals, stopping at Wat Arun before returning to your hotel to relax.

Bangkok to Kanchanaburi
An early morning drive takes you southwest to Maeklong railway market where you can photograph and try local snacks. From there, you'll head by motor boat to Damnoen Saduak floating market, then continue to Kanchanaburi. You'll see World War II memorials at the JEATH War Museum and Cemetery, take a 30-minute train ride along the river, and visit the Kwai bridge. You'll spend the night in Kanchanaburi.

Kanchanaburi to Ayutthaya
After breakfast, you'll drive to Erawan Waterfall in Erawan National Park to see the seven-tiered falls and walk to each level, with the option to swim in the natural pools. In the afternoon, you'll head to Ayutthaya, the ancient city founded in 1350 along the Chao Phraya River. This historic site has numerous temples and monuments to explore. You'll overnight in Ayutthaya.

Ayutthaya
After breakfast, you'll ride a green Kermit tuk-tuk (unique to Ayutthaya and Trang) to explore the city's temples including Wat Yai Chaimongkol, Wat Mahathat with its tree-enclosed Buddha face, and Wat Phra Srisanphet. You'll also check out a local market and visit Bang Pa-In Summer Palace with its mix of European, Khmer, Thai, and Chinese architecture. Later, you'll transfer to the train station for an overnight train to Chiang Mai.

Breakfast happens at a local restaurant, then you'll spend your morning in Chiang Mai's old town visiting the walls, moat, gates, and temples like Wat Phra Singh, Wat Phan Tao, and Wat Chedi Luang. You'll stroll historic streets and take a rickshaw tour. In the afternoon, you'll walk through Warorot central market and head to Doi Suthep hill. After exploring craft villages with lacquer, silk weaving, and woodcarving workshops, you'll check out the Night Market before returning to your hotel.

Elephant Jungle Sanctuary
Your hotel pickup happens between 08:00-08:30, then you'll drive about 1.5 hours to Elephant Jungle Sanctuary through rural areas. You'll change into Karen clothing and learn about elephant behavior, then feed and photograph them in their natural setting. After traditional Thai lunch, you'll learn to make herbal medicine balls. You'll walk with the elephants to the river for bathing, brushing, and a mud spa. You'll depart around 15:00 and return to your hotel by 17:00-17:30.

Your guide meets you for a scenic drive to Mae Orn with a market stop to buy lunch items and fruit. You'll continue to Mae Kam Pong village where local guides will share the village's history and lead you on flexible trek options around the area. Many villagers grow tea plants, coffee, and mushrooms while others make handicrafts like decorated pillows and rattan baskets. Lunch happens either in a homestay or as a picnic, and optional traditional massage is available. You'll head back to Chiang Mai in the late afternoon.
