    Yes, absolutely - a private room is possible for this departure!
    
    We currently have a free single supplement upgrade promotion running this month. Normally, the single room supplement would be USD 360.
    
    At the moment, there are only 2 single rooms still available for the August 29, 2026 departure, so I would recommend moving quickly before they sell out.

    how active is this tour.... I am 67 but quite active although i have old work injuries (knee, ankle and rotator cuff issues) which i suffer from time to time

    Our Sardinia Adventure is one of our more active trips. It's a Level 4: Moderate & Challenging, designed more for experienced hikers and very active travelers comfortable with long days and uneven terrain.
    
    Some days of this itinerary involve:
    
    • 5-7 hours of activity
    • steep ascents and descents
    • rocky and irregular terrain
    • long hikes in remote areas
    • a 12km kayaking day
    • a 30km cycling day.
    
    For example, the Gorropu Gorge hike is about 15km with over 400m ascent/descent, and the terrain can be challenging underfoot.
    
    From what you described with your knee, ankle, and rotator cuff issues, even though you are clearly very active and capable, I feel a little concerned this particular trip may end up feeling harder on your body than enjoyable, especially over consecutive active days.

    level 4 is going to test my broken body too much!
    Any suggestions for level 2 or 3 as i do love being active, hate being bored, lol. I have seen most of mainland Ital,y except Sardinia, Malta, Gozo and the southern most city of Calabria.... or you may have other country suggestions. I love medieval ruins, old cities, immersive cooking, winery, farms, etc. if that helps. Not so much museums and art...ok work your magic. Of course i will be solo so a small group is more comforting.

    Discover Croatia (Level 2) is a great option. It has beautiful medieval towns like Dubrovnik, coastal scenery, olive groves, and vineyards. You explore both by land and boat, so it stays active but never feels demanding. It has that old-world charm you're looking for, with a good balance of culture and scenery.
    
    Croatia Adventure (Level 3) is a bit more active, but still much more manageable than Sardinia. It has a similar coastal feel, with more movement during the trip, but still time to enjoy the towns and local experiences. This is a good option if you feel like being a bit more active.
    
    Another nice option is Discover Provence (Level 2), this one is more about vineyards, markets, and local food. You'll see lots of medieval villages and spend time in the countryside. It's slower paced but very immersive, especially if you enjoy wine and farm-style experiences.

  Single room occupancy available? and what is additional amount pp? Can we add on post trip to Calabria after tour? Do you serivce this section of Italy, as we have not visited this southern tip of Italy yet. If you can put something together please do and give me a quote on same as an additional tour...

    At this time, we're not able to put together custom or standalone post‐tour itineraries, and we don't currently operate group tours or extensions in Calabria.
    
    Our tours are offered as set itineraries, and while we can assist with Flights and Pre‐ or post‐tour accommodation.

    The recommended airport is Olbia (OLB).
    
    Arrival transfer will meet flights arriving up to 1000 at Olbia (OLB) on the first day of the tour. Departure transfer is timed to serve flights departing from 1030 at Olbia (OLB) on the last day of the tour.

    On Day 4, the group cycles to Osalla di Orosei Beach. Our 18.5mi (30km) adventure starts straight from the hotel, riding towards Osalla di Orosei beach. We stop at Passo Lithu for glorious views over forests and to the sea. Arriving at the beach, we must carry our bikes to reach the sands, where we refuel with a delicious barbecue lunch.
    
    After, we get back on the bikes and ride through pinewoods to the town of Orosei, before taking the state road to the Grotta di Ispinigoli, a vast cavern with 125ft (38m) high limestone columns to admire. Back on the bike, we finish the ride at our hotel, visiting Baluvirde church en route.
    
    The ebike upgrade is USD$50/CAD$60 per bike.
