Itinerary
- Day 1
Gjirokastër - Tirana
You'll start in Saranda and then head inland to see Butrint, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with layers of Greek, Roman, and Byzantine history built right on top of each other. From there, you'll travel to Gjirokastër, known as the City of Stone, where the streets are lined with Ottoman cobblestone paths and you can walk up to the castle for views across the valley. By evening you'll arrive in Tirana with some free time to get a feel for Albania's capital on your own.

- Day 2
Berat
This morning in Tirana you'll see Skanderbeg Square, check out the National History Museum, and visit the Et'hem Bey Mosque to get a sense of how tradition and history mix throughout the country. After that you'll head to Berat, a UNESCO World Heritage site they call the City of a Thousand Windows because of all the white Ottoman houses stacked down the hillsides. You'll visit Berat Castle and the Onufri Iconography Museum, then walk through the Mangalem and Gorica districts along the Osum River before settling in for the night.

Albanian Riviera - Saranda
You'll make your way back to Saranda traveling along one of Europe's most beautiful coastlines, stopping in small seaside villages like Dhermi, Jale Beach, and Himara where you can swim in clear water with dramatic cliffs nearby. There's time to relax, go for a swim, or just take in the coastal scenery. Once you're back in Saranda the tour wraps up, and you'll have time to sit at local cafes and think back on everything you've seen.
