Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Hanoi
You'll arrive in Hanoi and get transferred to your hotel. Check-in starts at 2 pm, so you'll have the afternoon and early evening free to walk around the city on your own. Later, head out to catch a water puppet show, which is a distinctive Vietnamese art form you won't see elsewhere.

Hanoi
Start the morning at the Temple of Literature and One Pillar Pagoda. After that, walk through Hanoi's Old Town and its 36 narrow alleyways, each one historically focused on selling different goods. You'll see shops and traders lining the streets. Then head over to Hoan Kiem Lake to visit Ngoc Son Temple.

Hanoi to Halong Bay
Leave around 8:30 am heading toward Halong Bay. During the drive, you'll pass rice farmers using traditional tools in the fields. Once you reach the bay, board a junk boat and check out some of the islands. Dinner happens on board the cruise ship.

Halong Bay to Hoi An
Get up early to see Halong Bay's limestone cliffs and rocky landscape as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After breakfast, keep exploring the area. Then disembark at Tuan Chau Pier, transfer to Danang airport, fly to Danang, and make your way to Hoi An.

- Day 5
Hoi An
Check out Hoi An, a historic World Heritage Site with narrow streets and old trading houses. See the famous covered Japanese Bridge and walk through areas showing Chinese influence. Take a boat on the Thu Bon River. The rest of your day is yours to spend relaxing at a cafe with Vietnamese coffee and taking in the colorful surroundings.

Hoi An to Hue
Drive over Hai Van Pass through mountains with nice views, clear lagoons, and small villages on the way to Hue. Visit the royal tomb of Emperor Minh Mang, then go to Thien Mu Pagoda and return to the city by boat. Spend time at the Imperial Palace, which is modeled after Beijing's Forbidden City, and learn about Vietnam's imperial history.

Hue to Ho Chi Minh City
After an early breakfast, head to the airport and fly to Ho Chi Minh City. Visit the Cu Chi tunnel system, which was dug by hand during the Vietnam War. Grab lunch at a local restaurant, then head back to Ho Chi Minh City for the night.

Ho Chi Minh City to Can Tho

Chau Doc to Phnom Penh
Take the Daily Cruiser Express or Blue Cruiser boat to Phnom Penh early in the morning. The boat trip takes roughly 4.5 hours and you'll travel without your tour guide. Handle immigration at the Cambodian border in Vinh Xuong and arrive in Phnom Penh around midday. Meet your guide at the port and see the National Museum, Silver Pagoda, and Wat Phnom temple.

Angkor Temples
See Banteay Srei temple built in the late 10th century and stop at a local village where people make palm sugar. Visit Banteay Samre from the 12th century with its central temple, four wings, large hall, and two libraries. In the afternoon, go to Angkor Wat, the main highlight. This 12th-century temple is the most impressive of all Khmer temples.

Angkor Temples

In the afternoon, see Ta Prohm, where jungle growth has covered the ancient structure. After that, head to rural areas for a short blessing ceremony with local monks.
