- Day 1
Temuco
You'll arrive in Temuco and get settled at your hotel. From there, the afternoon opens up to explore what the city has to offer. Start at Plaza Aníbal Pinto where you'll see the cathedral, then wander through the historic Station District. The Feria Libre market gives you a real sense of local commerce and culture, while the Araucanía Regional Museum covers the region's history. If you have energy left, head up to Cerro Ñielol Natural Monument for hiking trails that deliver views across the city. Lunch is taken care of before you return to rest up at the hotel.

- Day 2
Temuco to Pucón
After breakfast, you're heading to coastal Araucanía for the day. The Carahue River Station is your first stop, then you'll make your way to Nehuentía and Monkul Wetland where kayaking is on the schedule. From there, continue through Puerto Saavedra and reach Lake Budi, which holds the distinction of being Latin America's only salt lake. You can watch black-necked swans and spot various bird species from the 134 types found here. Lunch is included, and if you're interested, there's an optional Mapuche cuisine dinner available. You'll end the day back in Pucón for the night.

- Day 3
Pucón
Breakfast at the hotel gets you ready to explore Araucanía Lacustre. You'll travel to Villarrica Volcano's base and take a short walk to the playon corridor at Villarrica National Park's entrance. The volcanic caves descend about 650 meters down into passages carved by ancient lava flows, which is quite something to walk through. Lunch brings local ingredients to your plate. Later in the day, check out Pucón's Playa Grande beach and La Poza harbor, then stroll through the city center where you'll see the wooden flowers that serve as the town's iconic symbol.

Pucón
You'll have breakfast and then head out to Huerquehue National Park, one of Chile's oldest protected areas. The terrain includes hills, ravines, lakes, and lagoons all surrounded by araucaria forests. Lunch happens while you're in the park. Later on, travel about 33 kilometers to reach Huife hot springs tucked into the mountains. Ancient araucaria trees frame the setting, and you get views looking out toward the Liucura River. It's a nice way to wind down the day before heading back.

Pucón to Temuco
After breakfast you'll check out of the hotel and transfer to Temuco Airport for your flight departure. If your plans have shifted, you can arrange a private transfer to Puerto Varas instead, or take a bus line in that direction if that suits you better.
