- Day 1
Antananarivo
You'll arrive in Antananarivo and settle into Madagascar's capital. Around 6pm, you'll meet your tour leader and the rest of the group for the first time. Your tour leader has arranged a welcome dinner so everyone can get to know each other and start learning what's ahead on this trip.

Landmarks Antananarivo - Day 2
Antananarivo to Kirindy Forest
After heading to the airport, you'll fly to Morondava on the west coast and then drive to Kirindy Forest. You'll stop at the Avenue of the Baobabs, a road lined with ancient, fat-trunked baobab trees that are over 1,000 years old. Later in the evening, you'll join a night walk through this private nature reserve with local guides, searching for eight different lemur species.

- Day 3
Kirindy Forest to Bekopaka
This morning brings an early forest walk through Kirindy in daylight, where you'll look for lemur species including the critically endangered Verreaux's sifakas. From there, you'll drive to Belo Tsiribihina and catch a ferry across the Tsiribihina River, then take a smaller ferry to Bekopaka, a small village near Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park.

- Day 4
Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park
You'll spend the full day exploring Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park. Begin with a two-hour canoe ride on the Manambolo river, exploring caves and learning about Bara ethnic group traditions from your park guide. In the afternoon, you'll visit the Small Tsingy, an otherworldly collection of needle-like limestone rocks where you'll climb and spot ring-tailed lemurs. The easy 3-mile walk offers chances to see Milne-Edwards mouse lemurs, white Decken's sifakas, Bemaraha woolly lemurs and giant chameleons.

Big Tsingy
Today is physically challenging as you explore the Big Tsingy, where limestone needles reach up to 195 feet. You'll do some crawling, wear a harness, and climb through this unique landscape formed over millions of years. Bring your packed lunch from the hotel so you can eat while taking in these unforgettable views.

Bekopaka to Morondava
You'll leave the tsingys behind and return to Morondava, taking the ferry across the Tsiribihina River once more. It's a long travelling day, but you'll head back via the Avenue of the Baobabs for sunset, the most beautiful time to visit when the dark tree outlines stand against a changing sky.

Morondava to Miandrivazo
Spend eight hours driving through the desertic landscape of western Madagascar to reach Miandrivazo. The journey takes you through arid terrain and shows the diverse landscapes that make up this part of the island.

Miandrivazo to Antsirabe
Another eight-hour drive takes you through central highlands to Antsirabe. Along the way, you'll see Madagascar's diversity in landscapes, from desert plains to rolling mountains, and in architecture too. There may be time for an optional boat excursion on the Mahajilo river this morning, and you'll get an orientation tour when you arrive in Antsirabe.

- Day 9
Antsirabe
Today you'll explore Antsirabe and the surrounding areas by bike. Led by a local cycling leader and your tour leader, you'll do a gentle 22-mile ride starting in the busy town centre before shifting to quieter residential areas and open countryside. You'll follow a dirt road toward Lake Andraikiba, passing rice paddies, brick-making areas, and vegetable fields that reflect the region's agricultural heritage.

Landmarks Lake Andraikiba - Day 10
Antsirabe to Ranomafana National Park
You'll leave Antsirabe and transfer to Ranomafana National Park in southeast Madagascar. It's a long drive on bumpy roads with stops to stretch your legs along the way. The journey takes you through scenic landscapes that transition from cool highlands to lush rainforests. You'll stop at Ambositra, the capital of Malagasy woodcarving, where you can buy souvenirs and watch artisan workshops.

Landmarks Ranomafana National Park Ambositra 
- Day 11
Ranomafana National Park
You'll head deep into Ranomafana, a World Heritage site with medium-altitude rainforest and endemic flora. Guided by your tour leader, you'll walk about 6 miles of trails (which can be slippery) looking for black-and-white ruffed lemurs, golden bamboo lemurs, greater bamboo lemurs, plus nearly 100 amphibian species and lots of birdlife. After dinner, you'll explore near the park entrance for nocturnal animals like mouse lemurs, leaf-tailed geckos, and giant pill millipedes.

Landmarks Ranomafana National Park - Day 12
Ranomafana National Park
You'll continue exploring Ranomafana since no two days here are the same. Visiting twice helps maximize your chances of spotting incredible creatures in this World Heritage site. You'll have free time available to relax and potentially visit the thermal pool in Ranomafana where you can swim in hot spring water.

Landmarks Ranomafana National Park - Day 13
Ranomafana to Isalo
Today you head to Isalo, another of Madagascar's great national parks. You'll break up the eight-hour journey with a stop at Anjà Community Reserve, where you can easily spot ring-tailed lemurs and learn about the interesting funerary rites of the local Betsileo people with a visit to family tombs on the cliffs.

Landmarks Isalo National Park Anjà Community Reserve - Day 14
Isalo National Park
You'll spend today exploring Isalo, a vast landscape of canyons, gorges and rock formations sculpted by wind and water. The mix of grassy plains, ochre-red soil and grey rock formations creates a unique blend of Western landscapes and African savannah. During your less than 9-mile walk, you'll spot several lemur species and see the tombs of the local Bara people to understand local culture better.

Landmarks Isalo National Park - Day 15
Isalo to Ifaty
You'll bid farewell to Isalo and drive 8 hours 30 minutes to Ifaty to position for your flight back tomorrow. The rest of the day is free to relax and you'll have a final group dinner, a chance to relive your adventures together and remember your favorite moments from the tour.

Ifaty to Tana
After breakfast, you'll catch the one-hour transfer to Tuléar in time for your flight back to Tana. Your trip concludes at Ivato International Airport. If you'd like to continue your adventure, you can speak to your sales representative about extending your stay in Tana.
