  good tour. guide was conscientious and tried to help as well as she could but her English was poor and we were confused most of the time as to what the program was. Tour radar’s advertisements were misleading as we all understood that this was a standard tour that had been conducted many times. We found out that this was the first time rhe tour was conducted after we arrived. I found it hard to believe that we were told to climb a rather steep hill to experience a castle and an old village only to find that the castle and village was closed. It was obvious that the site had been closed for a long time and i am amazed that Tour Radar did not know that. We had to inform our guide of this as she did not accompany us up the hill. We seemed to get lost during the walk around the Argento city to find an eatery there … that was certainly not worth the effort. On many occasions the period between access to toilets was much too long…the average age of the tour group was about 70 and Tour Radar seemed insensitive to the needs of people that old. The site tour guide in Siracusa was a bit hard to understand and I remember that was quite a long day. Positive experiences were the site tour guides at the archeological park in Argento and Vincenzo in Palermo and Cefalu. He was a highlight of the tour. The boat trip turned out to be surprisingly fun. We really did not have much of an understanding of what the plan was due to our language limitations and we were nervous as there were 20+ knot winds but the boat driver was great and we were amazed that he was able to serve a great mid day meal on the boat in a picturesque setting. The visit to the first farmhouse near Siracusa was a highlight along with the pasta making session and the overnight stays at the resort near Notte were a highlight as well. The city of Notte was very interesting and our free time to explore the city was good. The tour bus was vehicle was comfortable and the driver was good.Show more

  A very difficult choice between 3 and 4 stars but the decision was made due to feeling there was not enough value added from the tour company or the tour leader. Had we understood it was the first time this operator had run this (or any?) tour, we would have selected a different tour. Things often did not run smoothly or efficiently, and the hotel in Palermo was a bad choice due to noise and that it was a flight up to enter the hotel. The tour was too expensive to have a tour leader that was not very knowledgeable about much of the area and whose English wasn’t fluent. However, we enjoyed the trip overall including most of the activities and the other hotels. We feel the tour experience will improve over time but didn’t like to be the ones being tested on.Show more

  Thank you for the opportunity to give you my comments about the Sicilian Secrets Tour we took 10-18 May, 2026. Sicily was great and we saw a lot but the pace was too fast. Most days were too long. Too little free time. Pick up too early so no time to recover from the previous long day. One wine tasting would be sufficient and the farm tasting was preferable to the second more professional one. Our tour leader, Allesandra, was great but the first guide was not so good. His English was incomprehensible!Show more
