Itinerary
- Day 1
Delphi to Kalambaka
You'll drive through Boeotia, passing by Thebes and Levadia on your way toward the mountains. The road takes you up to Arachova, a village perched on the hillside, and then down into Delphi where you'll spend time at the Archaeological Site exploring the ancient ruins and museum. From there, continue east to Kalambaka, which sits right at the base of the Meteora rock formations. Dinner and overnight in Kalambaka.

Meteora and Thessaloniki
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll head out to the Meteora monasteries built high atop those massive rock pillars. Inside, you'll see Byzantine art and religious artifacts that have been preserved for centuries. Later, you'll drive through the Thessaly plain and the Valley of Tempi, with Mount Olympus visible in the distance. The drive continues north to Thessaloniki, Greece's second largest city. Overnight in Thessaloniki.

- Day 3
Thessaloniki City Tour
Start the morning with breakfast at your hotel, then walk through Thessaloniki's Byzantine sites including the White Tower, Roman Forum, and St. Demetrius' Church. You'll also see the Byzantine Walls and the Palace and Arch of Galerius ruins. The Rotunda, with its Early-Christian mosaics, is on the list too. There's a guided walking tour portion for some of these sites. By afternoon, the rest of the day is yours to wander through the city center. Overnight in Thessaloniki.

Macedonia Historical Tour
After breakfast, you'll explore historical Macedonia with several stops. First, head to Edessa to see its waterfalls, then continue to Naoussa where Aristotle taught Alexander the Great at his school. Next, you'll go to Vergina and visit the Museum in the Great Tumulus, which contains royal tombs and artifacts from King Philip II. Before heading back, stop in Veria (Biblical Beroea) to see Saint Paul's Bema and walk through the old Jewish neighborhood and market. Return to Thessaloniki for overnight.

Pella and Dion to Athens
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Pella, the ancient capital of Alexander the Great. You'll see intricate 4th-century B.C. floor mosaics from villas, both in the museum and at the archaeological site. Continue south to the Archaeological Park of Dion at the base of Mount Olympus, a sacred Macedonian city where you'll walk around the ruins. Then drive back through Thessaly, passing through Lamia and stopping at Thermopylae to see Leonidas' Monument. Travel south through Thebes and arrive in Athens by late afternoon.
