Itinerary
- Day 1
Singapore to Malacca
A driver picks you up from your Singapore hotel between 8:00 and 8:15 AM, then you'll cross into Malaysia through Johor Bahru and change vehicles. The route takes you past traditional Malay and Chinese villages on the way to Malacca, a historic coastal city. You'll have free time to grab lunch somewhere in town, then tour the city's key sites including the oldest functioning Chinese temple in Malaysia, a historic mosque, and Jonker's Street with its antique shops. Your evening is free to settle in and explore at your own pace.

- Day 2
Malacca to Kuala Lumpur
After breakfast at the hotel, you'll depart for Kuala Lumpur and travel through the Malaysian countryside. There are photo stops and chances to walk through local villages along the way. Free time for lunch happens midway, and then you'll arrive in the capital for a guided tour covering the King's Palace, National Mosque, Independence Square, historic government buildings, and Chinatown. By evening you're on your own to explore further if you'd like.

- Day 3
Kuala Selangor - Kuala Lumpur
This morning is yours to sleep in or check out the Petronas Towers on your own. At 3:30 PM the group reconvenes for a 90-minute drive to Kuala Selangor, a rural fishing and farming town that feels completely different from the city. You'll visit a Chinese fishing village, then experience millions of fireflies emerging after sunset. Rowing upstream through the mangroves gives you the best views of this natural display, and you'll return to the hotel around 11:00 PM.

Kuala Lumpur to Cameron Highlands
Leaving Kuala Lumpur at 8:30 AM, you're heading into Cameron Highlands, a cooler highland area known for tea plantations and vegetable farms. Your first stop is Batu Caves, a popular site and sacred Hindu place of worship, followed by the cascading Iskandar Waterfall. Once at your hotel you can spend the rest of the day exploring the area at your own pace.

- Day 5
Cameron Highlands to George Town
Starting at 9:00 AM, you'll experience rural Malaysia by visiting a tea plantation and tour a tea factory, then check out a vegetable farm. You'll browse the market square for souvenirs and fresh produce, then head to George Town on Penang island. Along the way there are stops at cave temples, historic mosques, and palaces. Crossing one of the world's longest bridges brings you to Penang, where your evening is free.

- Day 6
George Town
Start your morning with a half-day guided tour through George Town, where you'll see the Reclining Buddha at Wat Chayamangkalaram and the nearby Dhammikarama Temple. Your guide will drive you past several other important religious sites including temples, churches, and mosques. You'll stop at the ornate Khoo Kongsi clan house to look around, grab coffee at a local shop, and get a photo opportunity at Fort Cornwallis. After the tour wraps up, the rest of your day is open for exploring Penang on your own.

George Town to Kota Bharu
Today you're crossing Malaysia from west to east, leaving Penang and heading toward Kota Bharu on the east coast near the Thai border. The drive takes you through ancient rainforest with scenic views throughout, and if luck is on your side, you might spot wild elephants crossing between forest tracts. You'll reach Kota Bharu in the early evening.

Kota Bharu to Kuala Terengganu
The morning starts with a short orientation tour of Kota Bharu, including the wet market where most traders are women, a unique cultural aspect of Kelantan State. You can shop for traditional batik clothing and try local sweet cakes and delicacies. Then you'll head to Kuala Terengganu with a stop at Pulau Rusa to see how traditional fishing boats are built using centuries-old techniques. You'll pass through Chinatown and see the Maziah Palace and State Mosque before reaching your hotel. The evening is yours to relax.

Kuantan
Heading out at 9:00 AM to Cherating, a resort town where you can see traditional Malay life in action. Locals braid pandan leaves into crafts like mats and bags, and you'll visit a turtle sanctuary learning about sea turtle conservation efforts for Olive-Ridley, Leatherback, Green, and Hawksbill turtles. The center protects eggs as they nest and runs an onsite hatchery to help baby turtles reach the sea. Your afternoon and evening are free to explore Cherating or head down the coast to Kuantan for the night, maybe spending time at the beach.
