Algiers to Constantine
Head east to visit Djemila, a Roman archaeological site and UNESCO World Heritage location. From there, continue to Constantine, the third-largest city, which sits above spectacular gorges with dramatic suspension bridges. You'll check in for two nights here.

- Day 4
Constantine
Start by exploring Constantine's gardens and the Ha-rem palace of Hadj Ahmed Bey, then see the Emir Abdelkader Mosque. After lunch, drive south to see the Medracen Mausoleum from the 3rd century BC, then visit Timgad, a UNESCO site with Roman baths, a library, a triumphal arch, and an ancient fortress before heading back to Constantine.

Constantine to Ghardaia
Spend the morning in Constantine touring the Cirta Museum and old town alleyways. You'll see the 160-meter gorges carved by the River Rhummel and the distinctive suspension and stone bridges. In the afternoon, visit the Roman site of Tiddis about 30 km north, then head to the airport for your evening flight south to Ghardaia.

Ghardaia

El Goléa to Timimoun
Drive to Timimoun, recognizable by its distinctive ochre-red clay buildings that seem to blend into the desert. The town sits at a salt lake on the border of the Western Great Erg and has both an old Berber fortress and a newer French-built center. You'll explore the market and learn about traditional underground irrigation systems called Foggara.

Timimoun

Stop at Badriane, Semouta, and Ouled Said before returning to relax by the pool at your hotel with views of the palm oasis.
