Nice to Arles
You'll land in Nice and head to Arles by transfer, where you'll board the Emerald Cruises Star-Ship. Meet your captain and crew, then settle in for a welcome reception and dinner with the other guests this evening.

Arles
Spend the day exploring Arles, checking out the UNESCO World Heritage monuments including the 2,000-year-old Amphitheatre that's been around for two millennia. You'll get a guided tour that takes in an olive farm, and then you have free time to wander around the city on your own and see what you find.

Avignon
Head to Avignon to walk through its history as the former home of seven Popes. The guided tour covers the ornate Gothic Palais des Papes and the local market. By evening, you'll attend a classical concert as part of the EmeraldPLUS program.

Tournon

Vienne

Lyon
Explore Lyon, one of France's biggest cities and a former Roman capital known for its food. You can either join a walking tour that includes the UNESCO-listed Basilica Notre-Dame de Fourviève, or take a guided bike tour to see the city's architecture from a different angle.

Lyon to Porto
After breakfast, you'll transfer from Lyon to Porto where you'll board the Emerald Radiance Star-Ship. Meet the staff and get settled in for the second half of your river cruise.

Douro Valley
Relax on board while the ship sails through the UNESCO-listed Douro Valley, passing vineyards and small villages. Tonight features a welcome dinner, cocktail reception, and a Portuguese cooking demonstration on board.

Vega de Terrón
Visit Quinta do Tedo vineyard in the Douro Valley where the Douro and Tedo rivers meet. You'll learn about organic viticulture and taste wines, then choose between a vineyard walk or kayaking. Afterward, the ship sails to Vega de Terrón.

Salamanca

Castelo Rodrigo - Régua
From Pocinho, head to medieval Castelo Rodrigo to explore its fortress and try local products. You'll return for lunch, then take part in a Port wine cocktail lesson on board as you sail toward Régua.

Lamego
