Central Japan was the place of the country that serious travellers would talk about but seldom bother to venture to. The 11-day expedition through the Central Japan changed all that. This journey was not an easy one, taking us away from the beaten path of Tokyo-Kyoto and into the embrace of the Edo period in beautifully preserved post towns, the Japanese Alps in all its cinematic glory, and rural communities, where traditional craftsmanship continues to shape daily life with unassuming and unhurried elegance. With only 11 days, it was more like living through the experience and each stop was a Japan that is beyond the pages of any guidebook. It was not a secret place anymore, Central Japan was what it really was, the real Japan I had never known before.Show more

We had such a wonderful tour of Japan for 10 days with just us, from start to finish. It's sometimes challenging to travel as a family, but this trip was organized well, and was fun. The tour covered a lot of cultural sites, scenic views, family-friendly, and fun city experiences. We didn't feel like we were in a hurry or going from one place to another. The private format proved to be most useful as it was a schedule that was comfortable and flexible for our family. Our tour guide was fantastic, very patient, kind and knowledgeable of Japanese history and culture! Helped us with all our questions and provided great tips for restaurants and things to do in our downtime. Services were adequate and housing was clean and convenient. All transfers and activities were done professionally, and we did not need to worry about any logistical issues while having a good time during our vacation. The children enjoyed many interesting experiences too, making it even more special for all of us. This was a well organised and enjoyable family outing. It is definitely a highly recommended tour for 10 days of Japan with the family that is comfortable, flexible and enjoyable.Show more

The 8 Days Best of Japan tour was an incredible journey and an incredible introduction to the Japanese culture, history and scenery! The program was very well planned, with all the famous sites as well as beautiful temples and peaceful gardens, vibrant city streets, and experiences of Japanese culture. The pace of each day was good, allowing time to see the attractions without feeling rushed off its feet. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They gave us interesting details about the history and culture of Japan and were always willing to answer any questions or give us tips. Transportation was comfortable and reliable and hotels were clean and convenient. The mix of organised sightseeing and free time was a great pleasure for me, as it enabled us to visit some areas on our own and sample some local delicacies. Daily activities were well organised and transfers were smooth, pleasant and comfortable. Overall the 8 Days Best of Japan tour was far better than I could have hoped for and has provided me with many great memories. It is highly recommended to those who want a well-organised and fun way to find out about Japan.Show more

- For any tour departing before October 10th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after October 10th, 2026, a minimum payment of $75 is required to confirm your booking with UME Travel Co. Ltd. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
