Itinerary

Day 1
Berat
Your tour leader picks you up from the hotel to head out to Berat, a UNESCO-listed town known for its distinctive architecture and 'town of 1001 windows' nickname. You'll walk through narrow stone streets lined with medieval houses, then make your way up to the castle where people still live within the old walls. Along the way, check out ancient churches and mosques scattered throughout the town. There's also time to learn about Onufri, a famous Balkan church painter whose work you'll see. After exploring the main areas, you'll visit the Gorica Neighbourhood before heading back toward Tirana. On the drive back, stop at Belsh Lake where you can take in the views and have some free time to relax by the promenade, grab a coffee, or just sit for a bit before returning to your hotel.

An unforgettable hiking experience with LIT Travel & Tours! Our hiking tour through the Albanian Alps with LIT Travel & Tours was an fantastic adventure – it couldn’t have been better! From the first contact to the final stage, everything was exceptionally well organized: professional, reliable, and with a wonderfully personal touch. A special thank you goes to our guide Bled, whose warmth, attentiveness, and helpfulness made the tour a true highlight for all of us – especially for our two teenagers. He connected with them so well and enriched our experience with fascinating stories, deep local knowledge, and his genuine passion for the region. Thanks to him, we didn’t just witness breathtaking landscapes but also gained meaningful insights into the culture and traditions of Northern Albania. The tour struck a perfect balance between physical activity, nature, and cultural exchange. Each stage was thoughtfully planned, and while the accommodations were basic, they were authentic, cozy, and exactly what we had hoped for. Payment information
- For any tour departing before April 4th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after April 4th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with LIT Travel and Tours . The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
