Itinerary
- Day 1
Guwahati to Shillong
You'll arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station and head straight to Kamakhya Temple, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the region. From there, the drive to Shillong takes you through some nice scenery, and you'll stop at Umiam Lake to break up the journey. Once you settle into your accommodation, spend the evening walking through Police Bazaar where you can grab dinner and pick up some local goods before calling it a night.

- Day 2
Shillong
This day focuses on what makes Shillong worth visiting. You'll start at Ward's Lake for a quiet morning walk, then head to Don Bosco Museum to learn about North East Indian culture and traditions. After lunch, make your way to Laitlum Canyons where the valley views really open up. From there, you'll check out Elephant Falls and finish at Shillong Peak before the sun gets too low. Your evening is free, so you can relax at your hotel or explore the town at your own pace.

- Day 3
Shillong to Cherrapunjee
You'll drive to Cherrapunjee, a place known for getting more rainfall than almost anywhere else on Earth. The main stop is Nohkalikai Falls, India's highest plunge waterfall and absolutely worth seeing. After that, you'll explore Mawsmai and Arwah Caves where you can walk through formations of stalactites and stalagmites. Before heading back to your accommodation, you'll also visit Seven Sisters Falls and Dainthlen Falls to see more of the area's water features.

- Day 4
Cherrapunjee
Early on, you'll start a 4 to 5 hour trek toward Nongriat village to reach the Double Decker Living Root Bridge, which is an incredible piece of natural engineering. The path takes you through thick vegetation and past clear streams, so bring good hiking shoes and water. If you're interested and have energy left, Rainbow Falls is an option to add to your trek. You'll return to Cherrapunjee by evening for the night.

- Day 5
Cherrapunjee to Kaziranga
Your morning takes you to Mawlynnong, recognized as Asia's cleanest village, where you'll see the Living Root Bridge and get a sense of how the village maintains its reputation. Then you'll drive to Dawki for a boat ride on the Umngot River, which is clear enough that you can see straight through to the bottom. Later in the day, you'll transfer to Kaziranga National Park and check in to your accommodation in time to settle before dinner.

- Day 6
Kaziranga
Start early for an elephant safari in the central range of Kaziranga to see rhinos, elephants, and other wildlife in their natural setting. You'll be back at the hotel for breakfast and a rest. After that, head out for a jeep safari also in the central range. During the afternoon, you can visit the Kaziranga Orchid Park and Tea Gardens, or if you prefer more wildlife spotting, there's an optional jeep safari available in a different section of the park.

- Day 7
Kaziranga to Guwahati
After breakfast, you'll drive back to Guwahati and check into your hotel. From there, head to either Navagraha Temple or Umananda Temple depending on your preference. As the sun starts to set, you'll take a sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra River, which gives you a different perspective of the city and landscape. Return to your hotel afterward for the night.

Guwahati Departure
Before heading to the airport or railway station for your departure, you can either visit the Assam State Museum to learn more about the region's history or spend time shopping for Assam Silk at Fancy Bazaar. This gives you one last chance to pick up souvenirs or simply explore a bit more before you leave.
