  We wanted to travel to Sri Lanka and see a new world of great culture, scenery, food and landscapes. We needed an excellent tour company that would guide us. Upon reviewing all the offers we found Exotic Perla to be the most professional and most responsive. We struck lucky. We had Sachin who organised everything, giving helpful advice and recommendations. Sachin was 100% with speedy, accurate and helpful responses. Then we had our excellent tour guide, Buddhika. He is a superb tour guide, giving interesting information on everything that was worth seeing. He was flexible to do what we wanted to do. He would take us to places that we asked about or beaches that were not touristy. He knew people to contact when we asked to see turtles being released to the sea at night, or getting to ride and was an elephant, he knows everyone and you can ask for anything to be arranged. This is how Exotic Perla is so different from the other large tour companies. Buddhika introduced us to wonderful foods. He is also an excellent and safe driver. What we really liked about Exotic Pearla was that they were not a large corporate organisation where it would take ages to get answers or solutions. They can be totally bespoke according to your needs. We would thoroughly recommend using Exotic Perla - they couldn't have done more for us. We are planning our next holiday to Sri Lanka with Exotic Pearla next year to visit the East coast. 5 star tour company.Show more

  I booked the Timeless Wonders tour around Sri Lanka with Exotic Perla as a single 65 year old woman. I was met at the airport by my chauffeur/guide and was given a tour of a lifetime despite the cyclone damage the country had recently experienced. My driver was a fountain of information on the temples, Sigiriya Rock, their culture, Galle fortress and other places during the visits. He answered any questions I had and was helpful with re-planning the day trips out when the itinerary had to change due to the cyclone damage and some parts of the country were inaccessible. The hotels I stayed in were very good, with comfortable beds and excellent food, which was on a half board basis. I booked a hot air balloon ride as an extra, which was a very early start to the day as I was picked up at 5 am and had magnificent views over the rice paddy fields. I experienced two safaris and saw elephants, peacocks and mongoose. Went on a fantastic boat ride around some islands and had a tour of a tea factory. I visited a gem place where they make jewellery and you learn about various precious stones and their history. I had a pendant made to my own design and it was ready in 24 hours. The visit to the silk business was interesting. You learnt how silk is made and their scarves, shawls, shirts, blouses etc were excellent quality. Easily could spend a fortune in the shop! They saved the best hotel till last as the view out across the beach to the sea was amazing. I was able to walk along the shoreline in the early evening and sit on the sand and watch the world go by before going back for dinner. I was collected from the hotel and driven back to Negombo airport for my flight back to the UK. I always felt safe and nothing was ever too much trouble. I asked my driver to turn round and go back to a shop where I has seen some Xmas tinsel in a colour I wanted and he was happy to oblige. Nothing was too much trouble on the trip. Highly recommend the company.Show more

  Amazing tour with our fabulous guide Silva. Silva was knowledgeable, professional, chatty and helpful as 1 of our group was a bit poorly so he suggested only doing 2hrs rather than 3 on the Kandy train. The tour exceeded expectations and Sri Lanka and its people, culture and cuisine is unforgettable. This is not a ‘lay by the pool’ trip so I’d suggest booking a beach hotel for a relaxing few days afterwards. Thanks again Silva, you were amazing!Show more

  From the moment our guide Chinthaka picked us up from the airport to when he dropped us off at our hotel after the tour, it has been the most amazing experience. The organisation of arranging the experiences and hotels was effortlessly arranged to a high standard taking the worry and stress from us. Our guide was fabulous, extremely knowledgeable and was so friendly, it was a pleasure spending time with him. All hotels were lovely, and Chin took us for lunch at beautiful restaurants which were authentic and served delicious food at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit this lovely country.Show more

  Absolutely amazing! Our guide Silva was fabulous… so professional and just genuinely nice person. He knew what we wanted for our tour including cuisine and he delivered every day. One of our party of 4 was a little poorly so he suggested just 2 hours on the Kandy train rather than 3 to make the day more comfortable for her. He knew so many people along the way that everything went smoothly. This is not a ‘lay by the pool’ tour so book yourself somewhere on the beach afterwards to relax.
