Itinerary
- Day 1
Cusco
This morning you'll be picked up from your hotel for Inti Raymi, one of the biggest celebrations in Inca history. The day starts with ceremonies at Qoricancha, the ancient Sun Temple, then moves to the Main Plaza of Cusco where you can see more of the festivities. After that, you'll head up to Sacsayhuaman archaeological center, which sits at over 11,650 feet elevation. The main performance happens here and wraps up around 4:00 PM, after which you'll get a transfer back to your hotel. Bring layers since it gets cool at that altitude, and wear comfortable shoes for walking around the different sites.
