Antananarivo to Morondava to Kirindy
Your pickup happens at 8:00 AM for the flight from Antananarivo to Morondava on Madagascar's west coast. Once you land, you'll drive about 42 km north on a dusty secondary road to reach Kirindy Park and check in at your hotel. Around 6:30 PM, join a guided night walk at Kirindy Reserve where you can spot the elusive fosa and other nocturnal wildlife including rare lemurs, bats, and tenrecs.

Kirindy to Bekopaka
At 7:00 AM, start with a guided day visit at Kirindy Reserve, which is home to seven lemur species including common brown lemurs and Verreaux's Sifakas. You'll see numerous bird and reptile species too. After the visit, head back to the road and cross by ferry to the village of Belo sur Tsiribihina for lunch. Continue north through rice fields and small villages, arriving at Bekopaka by late afternoon.

Manambolo River - Bemaraha
Take a traditional boat down the Manambolo River, passing through diverse landscapes with impressive canyons as you approach the Bemaraha massif. At the Grand Tsingy or Bemaraha National Park (a UNESCO World Heritage site), you'll trek through dramatic limestone peaks and cross a hanging bridge with great views. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and watch a sunset from the top before heading back to your hotel.

Bekopaka to Morondava
Drive back to Morondava with lunch at Belo sur Tsiribihina. Along the way, make two stops to see the Baobab Amoureux and the famous Baobab Alley where you can watch a sunset. You'll arrive at Morondava in the early evening and transfer to your hotel.

Morondava to Antsirabe
Fly back to Antananarivo, then drive south on the famous RN7 to Antsirabe. Stop at the metal workshop of Donné Vy and visit Behenjy, known for foie gras production. Antsirabe is a highland town with colonial streets, volcanic lakes, colorful rickshaws, and traditional handicrafts. Founded by Norwegian missionaries in 1856, it's Madagascar's center for beer production and precious stone work.

Stop in Ambositra for lunch and tour the region's traditional Malagasy crafts, including workshops where Zafimaniry artisans work with marquetry rosewood and ebony.

- Day 7
Ambositra to Ranomafana
Head to Ranomafana National Park, a wet forest reserve typical of Madagascar's east coast. Trek through the forest past waterfalls while searching for endemic species like the rare Golden Bamboo Lemur (discovered here in 1986) and 11 other lemur species. You'll encounter endemic chameleons, leaf-tailed geckos, mantella frogs, and birds. After lunch at the hotel, you can enjoy spa time or rest for the afternoon.

Travel south to reach Ranohira and Isalo National Park, passing through Fianarantsoa, the cultural capital of the Central Highlands. Stop in Ambalavao for lunch and visit a factory to learn about the history of Antemoro paper. Visit the Anja Community Reserve where you can spot red-tailed lemurs and chameleons. Pass through the legendary Porte du Sud and cross the Plateau de Ihorombe before arriving at Isalo.

Learn about the sandstone mountains' role as historical burial grounds for the Bara people. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, then visit the famous Window of Isalo for a sunset before returning to your hotel.

Isalo to Toliara
Leave as early as possible for Tuléar (Toliara), Madagascar's city on the southwest coast. The journey introduces new scenery including dry forests and the spiny desert of the south. Pass through Ilakaka, a sapphire mining boom town. See ornate Mahafaly and Antandroy tombs along the way, sacred sites built for chiefs and kings adorned with stones and zebu horns (some feature over 700 horns). Experience the driest part of Madagascar with cactus-like spiny forests and baobab trees hundreds of years old. Arrive in Tuléar, transfer to the airport, fly back to Antananarivo, and transfer to your hotel.

End the day with a guided night visit (approximately 1.5 hours) to spot nocturnal wildlife, then return to the hotel.

Andasibe
Start at 7:30 AM with a guided visit to Andasibe-Analamazaotra National Park to spot the Indri-Indri and Diademed Sifaka in their forest home (about 3 hours). Listen for the peculiar call of the indri, the largest living lemurs at up to 1 meter tall. You'll see 13 other lemur species and numerous bird species. In the afternoon, have an up close experience with lemurs on private Lemurs Island, then visit Vakona Reserve Zoo to see crocodiles, native birds, and other wildlife.

Andasibe to Antananarivo
After breakfast, depart early for about a 4 hour drive back to the capital through spectacular eroded hills called lavaka. Visit Peyrieras Madagascar Exotic, a famous exotic animal breeding centre. You'll see almost all chameleon species found in Madagascar, including leaf-tailed geckos, lemurs, Coquerel's Sifaka, butterflies, moths (including the giant Atlas Moth), and tenrecs.

Nosy Be is a favorite place for travelers visiting Madagascar, offering soft white sand, turquoise water, fresh seafood, and sunny weather most of the year.

Nosy Be to Nosy Iranja
Depart around 8:00 AM for the famous Nosy Iranja island, located 1 hour 30 minutes away by speedboat. These two islands are connected by a fine white sandbank that's covered at high tide and exposed at low tide. Named Turtle Island because sea turtles come to lay eggs here, you'll see terns, herons, and sea eagles. Enjoy a buffet lunch under coconut trees (crab, grilled fish, zebu kebabs, shrimp, coconut rice, tropical fruits), visit the lighthouse and authentic village. Discover the virgin coastline and wild beaches, including the sugar loaf rock formation and Nosy Antsoa. Return to the hotel in the afternoon.

The island has three charming fishing villages and beaches with pristine white sand and transparent water perfect for swimming. Beautiful diving spots are available for scuba enthusiasts. During November, experience whale shark viewing, where the world's biggest fish feeds on plankton and krill.
