Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Osaka

You're arriving in Japan, and a private transfer is set up to get you from Kansai International Airport to Osaka smoothly. If you're coming during cherry blossom season, timing matters quite a bit since it shifts depending on where you go—late March through mid-April hits most regions, but if Hokkaido's on your list, wait until late April or early May for the peak bloom. Traveling in autumn instead? The maple leaves put on their best show from mid-October into early November across the country. The transfer gives you a chance to settle in and get your bearings as you head toward Osaka.

Hotel (Best Western Plus Hotel Fino Osaka Kitahama)

  2. Day 2

    Osaka

After breakfast, you've got the day to yourself in Osaka. Check out Kuromon Market if you're hungry for local food, or head to Osaka Castle Park for some walking around. Dotonbori offers great street food and nightlife vibes, while Shinsaibashi has solid shopping if that interests you. The Hep Five Ferris Wheel gives you views across the city. Do whatever appeals to you most and move at your own speed.

There you'll see deer roaming freely in Nara Park and visit Todaiji Temple, which holds one of Japan's largest Buddha statues inside. Before heading back, see Kasuga Taisha shrine with its distinctive vermilion lanterns, one of Nara's main attractions.

This was my second time booking with UME and Amber, and once again, everything was perfect! She put together an amazing theme-park-focused trip for my son, and he hasn’t stopped talking about it since we got home!

Amazing! The hotel, the driver—everything was perfectly taken care of, so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Our guide was awesome too, taking us everywhere and giving us great explanations about the temples and palaces we visited. Super friendly and helpful!
