    Bucharest

    Your local guide meets you at the airport in Bucharest. Depending on when you arrive, you'll take a panoramic tour through the capital, driving along the wide boulevards and seeing the Belle Époque architecture and main landmarks around the city.

    Bucharest to Sighisoara

    After breakfast, you'll head out through the Olt River Valley toward Sibiu, making a stop at Cozia Monastery to look around. Once in Sibiu, you'll walk through the medieval Old Town and see those distinctive rooftops and historic sites, then continue on to Sighisoara.

    You'll spend the morning walking through Sighisoara's medieval streets, checking out the Clock Tower and the old guild towers. From there, you'll head to Targu Mures for a short tour, and then enter the Bucovina region to visit Voronet Monastery and see the striking Last Judgment fresco.

    This day focuses on the painted monasteries of Bucovina. You'll start at Moldovita Monastery with its vivid frescoes, then move on to Sucevita Monastery to see the famous Ladder of Virtues fresco. After that, you'll visit Agapia Monastery where nuns run artisan workshops, and then drive to Piatra Neamt for the evening.

    After breakfast, you'll drive through the Bicaz Gorges, passing by the Red Lake with its petrified trees creating an unusual landscape. You'll arrive in Brasov to explore the medieval old town, visit Bran Castle, and then head back to Brasov to stay for the night.

    I had an amazing time on this tour with Aborigen Tours! Everything was so well planned, but still gave us time to enjoy each place at our own pace. Walking through Rome, seeing the Sistine Chapel, and standing in front of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, it all felt like a dream. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 95 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
