This was a 5 day gorilla and chimpanzee trekking tour. The tour operator, Aron was extremely communicative and responsive during the booking period. He provided excellent recommendations and was very flexible. The guide/driver, Martin was very responsible and knowledgeable. The accommodations were spectacular! As a single woman travelling alone, I was never worried. All in all an excellent experience and 5 days that will stay with me forever.Show more

Planning a trip to East Africa initially felt overwhelming, but everything changed once I connected with Aron at Safari 2 Gorilla Tours. From our very first interaction, he made the entire process feel effortless. Aron was incredibly responsive—no question was too small, and every personalized request, from itinerary tweaks to adding new destinations, was met not only with enthusiasm but with thoughtful suggestions that truly elevated our experience. Flying into Rwanda turned out to be an unexpected highlight. We were able to immerse ourselves in the country’s rich and complex history, take in its stunning landscapes and mountain views, and ease into the rhythm of the region before beginning our trekking adventure in Uganda. Once in Uganda, Aron seamlessly handed us off to his colleague Danny—and we absolutely adored him. Danny took exceptional care of us every step of the way. He anticipated our needs, fulfilled our wants, and even surprised us with thoughtful touches we didn’t know we needed. This company is amazing! I interacted with Aron and I think he might be the kindest man I’ve ever met. Aron took us Gorilla Trekking which was the highlight of our trip. Don’t leave Uganda without gorilla trekking!! It was an incredible experience. I was a foot away from a baby gorilla at one point and could have watched the animals for hours! Aron also gave us some great recommendations of places to visit. We also went on a safari in Queen Elizabeth National park and saw every animal in The Lion King and then some. Tip: go super early in the morning or late at night to see the lion, that’s when they’re out hunting. Seeing African elephants was such a peaceful experience. You can tell he really loves his country and wants to share it with the world. He is so knowledgeable about the area and knows the best spots to stop for pictures as well. The prices are also very reasonable compared to other places. He works with you to build an itinerary that’s right for your budget and timeframe. This tour group went out of their way to make sure my husband and I were comfortable through the whole journey and I really can’t praise them enough!!Show more

I booked with Safari 2 Gorillas very last minute to do the gorilla hike in Mgahinga NP on Christmas Day. Aron was really prompt with all the communication, and I'm so glad I paid extra with him (vs just booking the permit myself) because he was so helpful in solving some problems I had (like my visa not being approved quickly and also making me lunch when everything was closed on Christmas Day). My guide was also super friendly and easy to chat with. Everything they communicated would happen on the day went ahead exactly the plan! We saw the beautiful gorillas and there were two sets of couples in my group who had also done the gorilla trek in bwindi, and both said they thought Mgahinga was better for its openness!Show more

I would highly recommend taking a tour with Safari2Gorillas. Aron was an incredible guide. He always made sure that I understood what was coming next, was always up for sharing any information about questions that I had along the way about culture, history, etc., and was overall knowledgeable and kind. The people at the lodges that I stayed at were so accommodating and friendly, and the food was also really good. Seeing the golden monkeys was really cool and the absolute highlight was getting to trek with the gorillas. Hope you get to enjoy this tour as much as I did!Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before August 21st, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after August 21st, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Safari 2 Gorilla Tours (U) Ltd. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Safari 2 Gorilla Tours (U) Ltd will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
