Nice places, bad arrangements. -For starters it says " PRIVATE TOUR- travel with your family and friends". Before booking I asked the operator and the answer was that the transfers would be private but the tours would be in group and we accept that. The private part NEVER happened which made us lose precious HOURS!! -The bus trip from Salta to San Pedro was supposed to be a Slipper Bus but it was a "semi-cama" ( seat reclines 120°) - In the overview of Uyuni stay says Hotel Villa Mar ( 2 stars). Such hotel doesn't exist. We stayed in 2 different "no star" HOSTELS ( first time in my life) - We were advised to exchange money in San Pedro de Atacama because we would need around 500 bolivianos ( US$72) for the Park entrance and extras. The Park entrance and all meals were included so we only needed a few bolivianos for personal costs and we had to exchange money back (and lose a few dollars) - Even though I kept asking for a detailed itinerary ahead of time I only got it 15 days before our departure and it was not complete. One part of it was in the overview of Tourradar and the rest on the itinerary I got. Therefore I was never sure exactly what to expect each day of the tour.Show more

Visiting this region is often considered a privilege precisely because it remains so disconnected from the modern world, requiring all travelers to arrive with an open mind and a spirit of adventure. Regarding the accommodations, we would like to clarify that our official itineraries do not classify these stays as 2-star hotels, as traditional hotel ratings do not exist in these remote desert outposts. Our documentation specifies 'Basic accommodation in double, triple, or single rooms with private bathrooms.' To ensure expectations were aligned, we also provide photos of these shelters beforehand to illustrate the rustic nature of the lodging, which is the only type available in the heart of the reserve. We also take note of your comments regarding the transport and itinerary timing. While we strive for seamless logistics, the transition between international borders and high-altitude terrain can sometimes lead to unforeseen adjustments. We apologize for any confusion regarding the currency exchange recommendations; our goal is always to ensure guests have a buffer for personal expenses or emergencies in areas where ATMs are non-existent. We value your adventurous spirit in taking on such a challenging route and will use your feedback to continue refining how we communicate the 'basic' reality of this extraordinary corner of the world. Payment information
- For any tour departing before August 3rd, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after August 3rd, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with People Travel and Experience. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and People Travel and Experience will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
