Dear Joanne, thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. I am truly sorry to hear that your experience with us did not meet your expectations. We strive to provide excellent service on all our trips, and it is clear that on this occasion, we fell short regarding the logistics and communication you experienced. I take your points about the airport pickup and the clarity of local expenses very seriously, as this is not the level of service we aim to provide. I would appreciate the opportunity to understand this better and discuss it with you directly. Please reach out to me at hello@peopletravel.ar whenever you are ready. Best regards, Mercedes

Dear Brian, thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the incredible highlights of Patagonia—from the wildlife to the breathtaking hike to Laguna de los Tres—and we’re thrilled that Eve’s assistance made your journey smoother. Regarding your experience as the only traveler on that date, I would like to clarify that we were fully transparent about this at the time of booking. As there were no other passengers confirmed for that departure, we proactively offered you the option to change to a different date. Unfortunately, as no one else joined for that specific schedule, we moved forward with the trip as a solo experience for you, ensuring you could still travel as planned. We appreciate your patience regarding the logistical transitions between locations. We take your feedback about the 'hiccups' and the missed hike in Torres del Paine very seriously; we are constantly refining our coordination with local teams to ensure every detail goes perfectly. Thank you again for your recommendation and for choosing us to explore Patagonia. We would love to welcome you back for another adventure in the future! Best regards, Mercedes

Dear Nelly, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We sincerely appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns and provide further context regarding the unique nature of this expedition. The Uyuni Salt Flats and the Bolivian High Desert represent one of the most remote and untouched frontiers on the planet. It is a destination of immense beauty, but its geographical isolation means that infrastructure is limited. Visiting this region is often considered a privilege precisely because it remains so disconnected from the modern world, requiring all travelers to arrive with an open mind and a spirit of adventure. Regarding the accommodations, we would like to clarify that our official itineraries do not classify these stays as 2-star hotels, as traditional hotel ratings do not exist in these remote desert outposts. Our documentation specifies 'Basic accommodation in double, triple, or single rooms with private bathrooms.' To ensure expectations were aligned, we also provide photos of these shelters beforehand to illustrate the rustic nature of the lodging, which is the only type available in the heart of the reserve. We also take note of your comments regarding the transport and itinerary timing. While we strive for seamless logistics, the transition between international borders and high-altitude terrain can sometimes lead to unforeseen adjustments. We apologize for any confusion regarding the currency exchange recommendations; our goal is always to ensure guests have a buffer for personal expenses or emergencies in areas where ATMs are non-existent. We value your adventurous spirit in taking on such a challenging route and will use your feedback to continue refining how we communicate the 'basic' reality of this extraordinary corner of the world. Warm regards, People Travel and Experience Team

Frequently Asked Questions

  • 1) Are domestic flights included in the final price of the trip?

No, domestic flights are not included in any of our trips. As you might know, Argentina is a very big country so it is important that you take into account that you will need to book internal flights in order to combine some of the Argentinian destinations. If you are also travelling in Argentina and Chile you will need to combine flights as well. You can book the flights on your own or if you need any assistance, please let us know, we will quote accordingly and add it to the final price.
  • 2) What type of accommodation is used for our tours?

Most of our trips are quoted in two categories of accommodation:
Standard Properties: Most are 3 star hotels, well located, with the main comforts.
Superior Properties: Most of them are 4 star hotels, well located, with some extra comforts (Pool, Spa, Activities etc)
In both cases breakfast is included and are excellent options in their own category that we highly recommend, so feel free to choose any of these options. If you want us to include any specific accommodation, please let us know.

  • 3) Do you charge a single supplement for solo travellers?

Yes, in all of our trips a single supplement applies for people travelling alone. While in our group tours we have offered the option to match with another solo traveller. Shared accommodation is also available in group tours.
  • 4) Can you help me by booking additional nights' accommodation?

Yes, of course. If you need one or more extra nights before or after the trip just let us know and we will add it to the trip.
We can add this extra service at the reservation and we can also change the transfer date according to your new arrival / departure date.
  • 5) Do you arrange airport transfers?

Yes, all of our trips include airport transfer. If you need to change that airport transfer for a port transfer or a bus station transfer let us know and we will gladly change it for you
  • 6) Do you offer group tours?

Yes, we have 4 group trips in Patagonia where you can join. These group departures have a maximum of 14 passengers and are ideal for Solo travelers or two people who would like to travel within a group.
    - Hiking in Los Glaciares National Park (8 Days - 7 Nights)
    - Hiking in Torres del Paine National Park (7 Days - 6 Nights)
    - Hiking Fitz Roy and Torres del Paine National Park (14 Days - 13 Nights)
    - Adventure in Torres del Paine & Ushuaia (9 Days - 8 Nights)
  • 7) Can I make changes in the itinerary?

Yes, all of our tours are 100% flexible, with the exception of our group tours. In the rest of our trips we can make all the changes you need.
  • 8) Can you assist with food restrictions over the trip?

Yes, we can help you with any food restriction that you might have: Vegetarian, Vegan, Lactose Intolerant, Gluten Free, Hipertension, Diabetes, among others.
The sooner we know it, the better for us, in order to give you more options during meals included in your trip.
  • 9) What is an optional activity?

Optional activities are not automatically included in the tour cost but are offered to enhance your travel experience in the places you visit if you wish to undertake them. We can provide you a list of available options and the costs of the activities and you can decide to add them to your tour.
  • 10) Why should I book a trip with People Travel and Experience?

We are a team of local experts. We have visited each corner of our country (Argentina) and Chile and we know how to show our land to you.
We put all our knowledge in organizing unique travel experiences, adding our inputs as local experts and providing full local support for a smooth and worry free experience.
  • 11) What is the best way to exchange my cash for local currency?

The best exchange rate is always generally with your credit card or debit card but almost all cards are now charging on average a 3% foreign transaction fee. Many places do not accept AMEX as their bank charge is higher than Visa or MasterCard. Another option is simply going to a currency exchange store once you arrive in Argentina or Chile, to convert money from your usual currency to cash in Pesos.
