You'll arrive in La Paz whenever your flight gets in. Later this evening you'll meet your CEO and the rest of the group. If you land early enough, there's time to check out the local museums, walk through historic churches like Iglesia de San Francisco, or wander the vibrant markets including Mercado de Hechicería. If you're into adrenaline activities, you can also arrange a Death Road mountain biking experience for later.

Sucre
You've got the day to yourself in Sucre, Bolivia's former capital. Walk around the colonial streets at your own pace, or if you're up for something more active, there's hiking in the hills nearby or mountain biking if that's your thing. It's a good chance to get a feel for the city without rushing.

Landmarks Sucre - Day 4
Sucre to Potosí
Hop on a local bus heading to Potosí. Once you arrive, Cerro Rico mountain dominates the skyline and you'll see right away why the city grew up around this place. The mountain's pretty hard to miss from anywhere in town.

Potosí to Uyuni
You'll ride a local bus across the Bolivian landscape to reach Uyuni, your jumping-off point for the three-day 4x4 expedition into the salt flats. The high-altitude terrain and scenery on this drive set the tone for what's coming next.

Uyuni - Salar de Uyuni (Day 1 of 3-day excursion)
Your three-day 4x4 adventure into the Salar de Uyuni salt flats starts today. The white landscape goes on forever, which means endless photo opportunities where you can play with perspective and depth. By evening you'll reach a G Adventures-supported community lodge in a traditional village set within a desert oasis.

Salar de Uyuni (Day 2 of 3-day excursion)

Landmarks Salar de Uyuni - Day 8
Salar de Uyuni to San Pedro de Atacama
You'll get an early start to cover more ground, passing volcanoes, salt lakes, and geysers as you drive toward the Bolivia-Chile border. After crossing, you'll descend about 2000 meters by bus into San Pedro de Atacama in Chile. It's a long drive but visually spectacular, ending in this small desert town on the edge of one of Earth's driest places.

San Pedro de Atacama

San Pedro de Atacama to Santiago
You'll drive from San Pedro to Calama and then fly to Santiago, Chile's capital with mountains all around it. From here you're close to famous wine regions and Andean ski resorts, both within a couple hours' drive. There's plenty to explore including museums, parks, the artistic Bellavista neighborhood, and San Cristobal Hill for views over the city.

Santiago
You have the full day to explore Santiago at your own pace. Hit the museums and parks, walk through Bellavista's bohemian streets, and get a feel for the city. If you want something more structured, optional day trips to Isla Negra or other nearby spots are available.

Santiago to Valparaíso

Valparaíso - Casablanca Valley - Santiago to Pucón
You'll have a free morning soaking in Valparaíso's colorful atmosphere and wandering the streets. Later you'll head inland to the Casablanca Valley for wine tasting at a local vineyard. Then you'll return to Santiago with some free time before boarding an overnight bus to Pucón, arriving the next morning.

Pucón

Pucón

Pucón to Bariloche
