- Day 1
Chennai
You'll arrive at Chennai Airport where an MTA representative meets you. From there, head to Kapaleeshwarar Temple in Mylapore to see its distinctive Dravidian architecture up close. After that, take a walk along Marina Beach where you can feel the sea breeze and get a sense of the local vibe. Check into your hotel once it's past 2:00 PM.

Chennai to Mahabalipuram to Pondicherry
Starting after breakfast, you'll drive about an hour to Mahabalipuram and check out the UNESCO-listed Shore Temple along with the Pancha Rathas, which feature intricate rock-cut architecture. Later you'll head on to Pondicherry and settle into your hotel there.

By evening, check out the Manakula Vinayagar Temple and browse the local markets for souvenirs.

After breakfast, drive about 2.5 hours to Kumbakonam and check in. You'll visit the Mahamaham Tank and Kumbeswarar Temple, both significant religious and architectural sites. When evening comes around, walk through the local markets where you'll find traditional brass and bronze items.
