  Worst part of the tour was having my wife's passport, Driver's License, Credit Cards and cash stolen. Unfortunately, we believe it happened on the Europamundo bus when we stopped to visit the Coliseum in Rome. The Guide (Maribel) warned us about the pickpockets around the Coliseum and assured us that our things would be safe if we left them on the bus. We believe it was then that they were stolen. The wallet was wedged into the waist pack and the passport was secured in a pocket inside, making it almost impossible for a pickpocket on the street to get at those things no matter how good they are. So, we hold the Guide and Europamundo responsible. Fortunately, we were able to get an emergency passport in Florence, at great expense and inconvenience, missing the sights of Florence. Beyond that, the tour spent way too much time visiting places that are of no consequence while missing some of the great treasures of Italy - the Michelangelo statues in the Siena Cathedral because we arrived too late. Planning Monday in Florence when all of the museums are closed. Way too much time walking and shopping, way too little time seeing the timeless treasures of Italy.Show more

However, after a thorough check, they informed us that no documents were found. We understand that you received accurate information to help you reissue your documents, and we hope the guide’s assistance was satisfactory. Even so, we recognize that it was a challenging situation, especially while traveling and trying to enjoy your trip.   The guide was very good. She was attentive and organized. She was also upbeat and fun. The sites visited were excellent. The bus was comfortable. Those are the good points. The negatives include the fact that 2 hotels did not have restaurants. The biggest negative is the long hours on the bus with late arrivals at the hotel, often after 8pm. The group of 50 had only 11 English speaking guests so the majority of narrative was in Spanish. Too much bus time and not enough free time.Show more

  This trip was incredible….A perfect balance of guided informational tours and free time for exploring your interests. The areas of Italy included were connected thoughtfully with stops in smaller villages between larger metropolitan cities. This divided the travel time into short segments and made the trips between cities enjoyable. We were greeted at the airport with enthusiasm and roses by Joseba and Maxie. Joseba provided us with great advice and then was with us with local Rome expert Mano for a lovely day. For the remainder of the trip our guide Jon was fantastic! He was knowledgeable and flexible and fun! The trip could not have been better and exceeded all expectations! Europomundo made quite an effort to begin this travel season with our tour of Italy and we couldn’t be happier! We highly recommend their company and will travel with them again.Show more

  Jorge was an incredible guide who went out of his way to ensure our trip was outstanding. Most of the accommodation was brilliant, just a couple were a bit average and a long way from central highlights but overall we were well accommodated. The bus drivers were pretty awesome, helping with luggage and getting us to all of the right places.Show more

  Overall, it was a good experience with the obvious limitations of a group bus tour. On many days, the program seemed very busy, and maybe one or two less stops might be considered. The hotel in Rome was very remote, which made it difficult to get into the city on our own. In Florence, we arrived in the afternoon and had to scramble to get into town to see the Uffizi (which were closed the next day). - Our tour started out as a fairly small English-speaking group, but was joined later by a larger Portuguese / Spanish-speaking contingent, which really changed the tone of the tour and greatly reduced the amount of information available in English. - Our guide, Paula, did a great job keeping everyone together and on track, but had to deal with some difficult passengers who were not willing or able to be punctual and wasted everyone’s time. The driver, Geordie (?) was excellent. Overall an interesting and exhausting experience that at times could also be a little frustrating due to the confusion of languages and cultures. Whenever we had a local guide, we did get some excellent information in good English.Show more
