Itinerary
- Day 1
Frankfurt to Mainz
Start pedaling from Frankfurt along the Main River, heading through medieval Höchst where you'll try local Ebbelwoi and handkäse. The route continues through vineyards toward Eddersheim before crossing into Mainz. Once there, check out the Gothic cathedral and the Gutenberg Museum, which covers the history of printing in this region.

- Day 2
Mainz to Oberwesel
Cycle along the Rhine banks through wine towns starting with Eltville and its half-timbered houses. From Rüdesheim am Rhein, take a chairlift to the Niederwald monument for views across the valley. Later you'll pass through the UNESCO-listed Upper Middle Rhine Valley, stopping in Kaub to see the 700-year-old toll castle and then Bacharach. End the day in Oberwesel with its medieval walls and castle.

- Day 3
Oberwesel to Koblenz
Ride the western left bank with views of Loreley Rock as you go. In Boppard, take a chairlift up to Vierseenblick for panoramic views. Arriving in Koblenz, use the cable car from Old Town to reach Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, then head to German Corner where the Rhine and Moselle converge.

Koblenz to Bad Godesberg
Pedal through spas and wine villages including Sayn, Neuwied, Andernach, Namedy, Brohl, and Bad Breisig. Stop at Remagen Bridge to visit the peace museum. Continue to Bad Honnef and browse the pedestrian zone and cafes around the market square. If interested, take a ferry to Königswinter and ride Germany's oldest cogwheel railway up to Drachenfels for views over Bad Godesberg.

Bad Godesberg to Cologne
The flat Rhine path leads to Bonn, the former federal capital with several attractions and museums worth your time. As the day continues, Cologne Cathedral comes into view. This leg has an easier pace, giving you space to see what Bonn offers before reaching Cologne and getting settled into your place for the night.

Cologne
After breakfast, your cycling journey wraps up in Cologne. You can head home or stick around to explore more. Museums are worth checking out, and the riverfront promenade is nice for a walk. Local restaurants have good food if you want to try what the city offers before leaving.
