You'll land at Tangier port or airport where your driver meets you. Before heading to Chefchaouen, you'll get a quick look at Tangier itself. The drive takes you into the mountains where Chefchaouen sits painted in shades of blue, and that's where you'll stay the night.

Chefchaouen
The day is yours to move around Chefchaouen at whatever pace suits you. Walking through the medina means winding through blue-painted streets where you can grab mint tea at the central square and watch local life happen around you. Chefchaouen (Guided Medina Tour)
After breakfast you'll join a bilingual guide (tours in Spanish) through the medina's history. You'll see the tannery, Kareein University, and schools, then walk past the Royal Palace gates and through the Jewish quarter. From higher points you get views across the whole city. Your evening is free for dinner on your own.

Chefchaouen to Merzouga
The drive to Merzouga takes you through Ifrane with its green-tiled roofs and cedar forests, then up into the Middle Atlas Mountains. You'll pass through the Ziz Valley with its dramatic rock faces and palms, stop at Erfoud to check out marble workshops, then reach Merzouga. That evening you'll ride a camel to a Berber tent camp and watch the moonrise over the dunes.

- Day 6
Merzouga
You'll explore the sand dunes near the Algerian border, seeing black volcanic rocks and getting chances for photos. After visiting nomadic families, you'll pass through small Berber villages like Tamrdanite and reach Khamlia for Gnawa music performed by local musicians. On the way back you might spot Ait Sareji lake with its pink flamingos (if visiting in spring), then return to rest at the hotel.

Merzouga to Tinghir
Sunrise from the dunes comes first, then you'll shower and have breakfast. Traveling through Rissani, you'll visit the Zaouia mausoleum and check out local markets, then continue toward Tinghir with a lunch stop in Tinjdad. The palm tree oasis there is something worth your time to walk through. You'll sleep overnight in a Kasbah with dinner included.

Tinghir to Marrakech
From breakfast you're heading to Dades Gorges, one of Morocco's biggest canyons with good trekking options. The Valley of the Roses comes next where locals make rose products. You'll see Kasbah Taourirt and pass the Atlas film studios, then reach Ait Ben Haddou, a historic Berber kasbah that's a UNESCO site. After lunch, you cross the High Atlas mountains through Tizi N'Tichka pass at 2,260m altitude to reach Marrakech.

Marrakech
In Marrakech you'll spend time in the medina having lunch and visiting the Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, and the Koutoubia Mosque. The Majorelle Garden is worth your time for its design and plants. The souks sell leather, carpets, fabrics, spices, and traditional kaftans, so if you want to shop, that's where to go.

Marrakech to Essaouira
Early breakfast happens before you leave at 8:30 am heading toward the coast. Essaouira is the old fortified port you'll spend the day in, mixing Portuguese and Berber styles in its buildings. You can walk through markets, look at art galleries, see cedar wood carpentry work, and check out the harbor's fresh seafood. You'll get back to Marrakech by afternoon.
