Itinerary
- Day 1
Cappadocia to Adiyaman
You'll meet your guide at 8:00 AM in Cappadocia and head out toward Kayseri. Along the way, you'll stop at the historic Seljuk Karatayhan Caravanserai, an old Silk Road trading post with real character. From there, the drive takes you through the Taurus Mountains where you get to see what rural Turkish life actually looks like. After lunch somewhere in the hills, you'll continue on to Kahramanmaras to try some of the country's best ice cream before settling into your hotel in Adiyaman for the night.

Landmarks Karatayhan Caravanserai Taurus Mountains - Day 2
Adiyaman - Mount Nemrut - Sanliurfa - Harran
This is an early start day. You're heading to Mount Nemrut for sunrise, which means you'll see those massive ancient statues come to life as the light hits them. After watching the sunrise, you'll walk up to the summit, about twenty-five minutes on foot. From there, you'll check out Arsemia, the old Commagene Kingdom capital, plus the ancient Septimus Severus Bridge and Karakus Tumulus. Later you'll drive toward Sanliurfa, stopping at the Ataturk Dam along the way. After lunch at your hotel, the afternoon takes you to Gobekli Tepe, an 11,500-year-old sanctuary that's genuinely old, then Abraham's Cave with its Pools of Holy Carp, and you'll wander through an oriental covered bazaar before heading to Harran village. You'll finish the day seeing those distinctive mud-brick beehive houses that the locals have built for centuries.

Sanliurfa to Birecik to Cappadocia
After breakfast, you're driving to Birecik to see the Bald Ibis birds, rare birds you won't find anywhere else in the world. You'll visit the breeding farm where they work to keep the species going, then grab lunch. The return journey takes you back through the Taurus Mountains, and you'll stop for a short tea break along the way before heading back to Cappadocia.
