How does Partially Guided tour works? You have choice of 3 hotels in Tokyo. So which hotel does tour start from? Or would there be a particular meeting point where we meet? Would it be easy to find tour guide at meeting point if different than one of the hotel.

A partially guided tour means that you will have a guide and join the group during the scheduled tours and activities included in your itinerary. Once each tour is finished, you are free to explore independently and will not remain with the guide or group for the rest of the day. Regarding the hotels, you can choose from the available hotel options in the package. The guided tours have designated meeting points, so the tour does not start directly from your hotel. Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive the exact meeting point, time, and instructions for each tour. You will make your own way there. The meeting points are generally in accessible locations, and clear instructions will be provided so you can easily find your guide.

The child travelling with us is one yr old how much would be the total price

You can do the regular booking through Tour Radar and the price for the infant will be calculated automatically.

If I arrive late in the evening the first day, is it going to be a problem? My flight lands at 19:10 and from there I can transfer to the hotel. Also is there a limit to what luggage we have? I want to bring a backpack and one suitcase 23 kg. And also on the last day, we can check out normally from the hotel and then just leave? Are there already many people for the group?

There are no tours scheduled on arrival and departure days. If you land on the 13th of June, the first day of tour will be on the 14th only. The package includes accommodation, group tours and train transfers between the cities. You will meet a guide at a centralized meeting point, where you will join different travelers each day of the tours. You can expect small groups in our walking tours and our food experiences - up to 15 people. For our tours that depart to other cities (example: Mount Fuji from Tokyo) we have up to 25. Nevertheless, this really changes per season and day.

Can you pick me up at a hotel in Tokyo bay?

Please note that our group tours do not include pick up and drop off from the hotels, you will meet a guide at a centralized meeting points for the tours.

Would you like your recommendation on when to start the tour. If possible, we'd like to start on December 8th but will arrive late. The itinerary states that the 8th is a check-in day and the activities start on the 9th. Would you please confirm? Can you tell me the best way to get from airport to the hotel?

Yes, the hotels listed in the itinerary are included in the overall price. Yes, the bullet train fare is included in the price of the tour. Yes, breakfast can be added for an additional cost. The deposit payment is 30% of the total tour price. After the initial 30% deposit, the remaining balance is due 1 month before travel. You may choose to pay in instalments before the final payment is due.

Thank you for the great tour that was available for me to book, and I enjoyed it with my son. This is my first time giving 3 stars. I booked this tour based on reviews from past travelers, which I found to be inaccurate after my own travel experience. I wanted to provide details that should help others and tour operators to consider. Out of all the travels I've done, this one put me under a lot of stress, required a significant amount of money, and demanded a considerable amount of effort. First of all, I appreciate all the tour guides; they are all fantastic and highly knowledgeable, shared all the details very clearly. Thank you, and impressed by your great job! I appreciate the communication from Tour Radar/Tourist Japan, who responded immediately and made the necessary steps and changes as I requested. Thank you, and I truly appreciate the attention and quick reply. Overall, this tour disappointed me and was definitely not worth the money I paid. Because I needed to take extra effort, money, and time. I do holiday travels for relaxation, not stressing. - The tour does not provide a transfer to the hotel and to the meeting point, which are ~40 min - 1hr. Literally, I need to use Uber/taxi, whatever. Otherwise, I am advised to use the subway, which I need to spend a week learning and understanding which stops and which way to take, all about the metro system. I needed to wait outside in the cold and dark, crowded (where the tour ended), after the tour ended for a cab to arrive. The Japanese people are very kind and considerate. Glad to meet such a humble people/drivers (who are caring and explaining to us every single step to get a train ticket). -Night tour - was a little chaotic --- tour guide was so so good, can you imagine 4 hrs walking in the cold --- I didn't feel my feet after the tour. My son got sick. If it's summer, it'd be fine. I returned to the hotel around 10.30 pm. - The tour does not provide meals, at least a continental breakfast -- which is good or bad in a way. Tiring to figure out when I was late the day before due to the tour and find something in the morning...Thankfully, I packed some food. I definitely do not need to spend this much money on the tour, as I felt I was doing everything by myself. I hope the plan and schedule require some review to ensure the travelers are well cared for, especially those traveling all the way to enjoy and spend time in another country, rather than adding to their stress. I am sorry. I really wanted to take this opportunity to share my comments. Thank you!Show more

  You may bring one backpack and one 23 kg suitcase on the train from Tokyo to Kyoto without any problem. There is storage space above your seat on the train for standard luggage. If your suitcase is larger and you feel you may need additional space, it is often possible to reserve extra luggage space directly at the train station. On the Shinkansen, oversized luggage restrictions only apply to very large suitcases. A standard 23 kg suitcase is usually perfectly fine. Additionally, many hotels in Japan offer luggage forwarding services, allowing you to send your suitcase from your hotel in Tokyo directly to your hotel in Kyoto for an additional fee paid at the hotel.
