Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Airport to Sanur

You'll land in Bali and get picked up by an air-conditioned car for the drive to Sanur. The hotel sits right on the coast, so after checking in you can settle in and get acclimated. It's a straightforward first day to shake off travel fatigue and prepare for the week ahead.

  2. Day 2

    Sanur to Ubud

This morning you'll head inland from Sanur to Ubud, which is roughly two hours depending on traffic. Once there, walk through the temple grounds and spend time at the art market where local artisans sell their work. Grab lunch at one of the restaurants scattered through town, many with views of rice paddies. The energy here is very different from the coast, so you'll want to take your time wandering the streets.

Check out the traditional market in the area and grab coffee somewhere with a view of the old golf course. The road gets more rural as you climb into the hills.

After leaving Munduk, you'll drive north through villages and past traditional houses toward Lovina on the coast. The drive takes you through different landscapes and you'll pass local spots worth photographing. By late afternoon you'll reach your beachside hotel in Lovina, which gives you time to relax by the water before dinner.

After that, you can either relax on the black sand beaches or try snorkeling or diving if that interests you. The pace here is slow and low-key, perfect for taking a break from driving.

Make a stop in Penglipuran village to see the traditional architecture and get a feel for how locals live. Push on to arrive in Amed by sunset, when the fishing boats with their colorful sails are out on the water. It's a good spot for photos and a quiet dinner.

What a perfect trip My Bali Road Trip organized for us. Completely according to our wishes, we were completely relieved. We enjoyed all the accommodations that Andy and Juliëtte had selected for us. Also the transfer between the different places was perfectly arranged with a regular driver. We had a fantastic vacation and will certainly use the services of My Bali Road Trip again in the future.

We wanted to make the most of our 14 days in Bali without the stress of having to organize it all ourselves. My Bali Road Trip/ TourRadar was the perfect solution! We shared our interests and ideas with Andy and Juliette. They created a personalized proposal for us that exceeded our expectations. We traveled through the most beautiful parts of Bali, stayed in hotels we would never have gone to on our own( and not at that price) and discovered the Balinese people and their culture thanks to our expert driver/guide. And because it was all arranged, we only had to worry about where and what to eat. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay long enough to see all of Bali.... so we will return for a similar tour to the places on the island we haven't yet visited.

How it all started. My wife visited with friends Bali in 2017 and when she came back she was super excited and told me we should go back as a couple. So in 2023 we decided to do so. Browsing the internet we found mybaliroadtrip.com. So we asked them to book our dream trip to Bali. This is what we got. Arriving in Bali our private driver took us to our hotel in Ubud. Fantastisch hidden on the outscirds but with an infinity pool looking over the rice fields. After 3 days of settling down the main trip started. With our private driver. Off to Munduk. On our tour we stopped at several highlights. This is what we did during the whole trip. Amazing hotel in the hills. Spent 2 nights in the hotel also to relax. Then off to Lovina for 2 nights. Hotel at the black sand beach. Again perfect. Off for 2 nights to Kintamani. Up in the hills but a fabulous location. On to Sideman. 2 nights quiet resort just outside the centre of Sideman Then to Amed. Fantastic journey and hotel again for 2 nights. Next stop Candidasa. Again superb. Then our private driver took us to Sanur to a hotel we booked ourselves on the recommendations of mybaliroadtrip.com where we spent another 5 days pure relaxing. So a great trip organized by mybaliroadtrip.com. Really recommend them 👍
