    Airport to Seabourn Pursuit

    You'll meet at the airport and board the Seabourn Pursuit, the newest luxury ship cruising the Kimberley Coast. Get settled into your spacious suite and take time to explore the ship's facilities, checking out the panoramic balconies, outdoor decks, and infinity pool. Dinner this evening is relaxed, which gives you a chance to meet other travelers on board.

    Adele Island to Buccaneer Archipelago

    The ship cruises to Adele Island where you'll explore by Zodiac with your Expedition Team, discovering coral reefs and marine life like reef sharks and stingrays. Later you'll arrive in the Buccaneer Archipelago with its 800+ islands. The Captain's welcome dinner happens this evening so you can celebrate the start of your voyage.

    Talbot Bay and Horizontal Falls

    Your Expedition Team takes you through Talbot Bay and Cyclone Creek, navigating dramatic rock formations while watching for local wildlife. The signature Horizontal Falls phenomenon, created by the region's massive 12-metre tides, you'll see via Zodiac, though this is subject to tidal conditions on the day.

    Freshwater Cove and Montgomery Reef

    At Freshwater Cove you'll participate in an Arraluli Heritage Exploration with a Welcome to Country ceremony and smoking ceremony by the Arraluli people, then hike to ancient rock art sites with Aboriginal interpretation. Later in the day, you'll explore Montgomery Reef by Zodiac where the world's largest inshore reef dramatically rises from the ocean due to strong tides.

    You'll travel to Prince Frederick Harbour to explore Hunter River and Porosus Creek with their towering red cliffs and tangled mangroves. Keep your eyes open for mudskippers and saltwater crocodiles in their extreme tidal environment, plus kingfishers, egrets, herons and white-bellied sea eagles. There's an option to take a scenic helicopter flight over Mitchell Falls if you're interested.

    Bigge Island Aboriginal Rock Art

    At Bigge Island you'll explore incredible galleries of ancient Wandjina rock art in numerous caves. Some of these artworks are believed to have been repainted annually by the Wunambal people for up to 5,000 years, so there's real cultural depth to what you're seeing here.

    Ashmore Reef Marine Park

    The morning on ship is relaxed so you can rest up. This afternoon you'll visit Ashmore Reef Marine Park in the Timor Sea, a sanctuary spanning 583 square kilometres that's home to over 100,000 seabirds annually including crested terns and frigatebirds. Your Expedition Team takes you by Zodiac to explore the reef's 255 species of coral, seagrass meadows and marine life, pending favorable weather and sea conditions.

    Vansittart Bay World War II DC-3 Wreckage and Jar Island Rock Art

    You'll walk across salt flats with your Expedition Team to see the wreckage of a US Air Force DC-3 that crash-landed near Vansittart Bay during World War II. After that you'll head to Jar Island to discover its rock art gallery featuring Gwion Gwion (Bradshaw) paintings dating back more than 20,000 years.

    The ship cruises into Koolama Bay, renamed following the Japanese bombing of the MV Koolama in 1942. Your Expedition Team takes you by Zodiac through the King George River gorge system, passing mangrove-fringed coves and sheer red cliffs before reaching King George Falls where the river drops 80 metres down from sandstone cliffs.

Walking along Piccaninny Creek you'll stop at Cathedral Gorge. By evening you'll watch the sunset over the Bungle Bungle Range with a glass of sparkling in hand as the beehive-shaped domes glow golden. A scenic helicopter flight over the World Heritage-listed park is optional.

    You'll say farewell to the Bungle Bungle Range and travel towards El Questro, a million-acre cattle station in the heart of the Kimberley. You'll settle in for two nights immersed in this remote region and experience the landscape from a different perspective.

    El Questro

    You'll discover the wonders of El Questro with a hike to Emma Gorge, where you can swim beneath a towering droplet waterfall. After lunch you'll head to Zebedee Springs, a permanent natural thermal spring tucked away in a secluded rainforest pocket for a different kind of water experience.

    Back on the Gibb River Road you'll travel to Bell Gorge where cliffs surround a series of tiered waterholes. Sitting approximately 300 metres above sea level, Bell Gorge offers an ideal spot for swimming and photography. Birdwatching is good here, or you can hike to the lower pool for a relaxing dip below the cascading waterfall.

    The actual tour was excellent and the experience with Tour Radar was very professional. However, the pre-trip logistics and organization associated with APT was uniformly very poor. Although Tour Radar was efficient at communicating with APT, there was no evidence that APT listened. Indeed, although the actual tour in the Bungle Bungle was great, I would not go on another APT trip again.
