- Day 1
Arrival to Bath or Bristol Region
You'll land at either Bristol Airport, which is about 14-30 km away, or London Heathrow if you're coming from farther out (that's around 170-190 km). From there, head to the Bath or Bristol region and get settled in. You've got 2 nights here, so after you check into your accommodation, take some time to walk around the area and get your bearings. Grab dinner somewhere local and rest up from your journey.

Bath
You'll spend the day in Bath using the included hop-on hop-off bus to get around the city. The Georgian architecture is a big draw here, so plan to walk through the Circus and Royal Crescent to see the elegant townhouses and squares. Royal Victoria Park is worth a stroll if you want some green space and views over the city. For eating, you've got everything from afternoon tea to modern spots, so grab something that suits your mood. If you're interested, the Roman Baths and Jane Austen Centre are both optional add-ons depending on how much time you have.

Bideford
You're heading southwest today, and the first real stop is Wells, a medieval town with a cathedral that's really something to see and a market square that dates back to the 15th-17th centuries. After that, you'll pass through Exmoor National Park with its forests and open moors, which breaks up the drive nicely. There are optional detours if you want them: Glastonbury Abbey, Cheddar and its caves, or the medieval town of Dunster. By evening you'll be in the Bideford region where you'll stay overnight.

Penzance Region
The coast is calling today as you head southwest toward Penzance. You can visit Clovelly, a village that feels like stepping back in time, or check out the dramatic cliffs at Hartland Point. Tintagel and Newquay are both options if you want to detour a bit. There are also two historic houses with gardens you could see: Victorian Lanhydrock House and Georgian Pencarrow House, though these are optional. You'll end up in the Penzance region for the night.

Penzance Region
This day is yours to explore Cornwall's southwest coast at your own pace. St. Michael's Mount is accessible either by walking a causeway when the tide is out or taking a ferry when it's in. Mousehole is a working fishing port worth seeing, and Land's End marks England's westernmost point if you want that photo. St. Ives has galleries and exhibitions if art is your thing. You can also hunt for local stone circles and tombs or just relax on Porthcurno's sandy beach if that appeals more.

Exeter
You're heading toward Exeter through some really nice countryside. Along the way there are several stops you could make: the Eden Project with its massive greenhouses and plants, harbor towns like Polperro and Looe, Trebah Gardens full of rhododendrons, or the Lost Gardens of Heligan if you like that kind of thing. You'll pass through Dartmoor National Park before reaching Exeter. Once there, check out St. Peter's Cathedral with its Gothic architecture or the Royal Albert Memorial Museum to learn about the city's history.

Bournemouth or Salisbury Region
Today takes you to Dorchester and the Isle of Purbeck, an area recognized as a UNESCO site. Durdle Door is probably the most famous feature here, a limestone arch that's hard to miss. From there you can continue to Stonehenge to see the prehistoric stone circles, or head to Salisbury and its impressive cathedral that houses an original Magna Carta. If you have time, New Forest National Park is also an option, though it's a bit of a detour from the main route.
