Entebbe
You'll arrive at Entebbe International Airport and get transferred to your hotel in central Entebbe. This is your first night to settle in and rest up before the tour kicks off tomorrow morning.

Kampala - Lake Mburo National Park
Meet your Drifters guide around 8 am and head out through Kampala to check out a local drum and fruit market. From there, drive southwest through green hills and small villages toward Lake Mburo National Park, which is home to a large hippo population. Lunch at the equator is on your own, and you'll roll into the park by late afternoon to stay overnight near the water.

Landmarks Lake Mburo National Park - Day 3
Lake Mburo - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Start early with a game drive through Lake Mburo National Park. Then continue on through rolling terrain, past banana plantations and herds of long-horned Ankole cattle as you drive scenic mountain roads through remote villages. By afternoon you'll reach Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, home to mountain gorillas, and settle in for a three-night stay near the park.

Landmarks Lake Mburo National Park Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park - Days 4 - 5
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest - Gorilla Trekking & Lake Bunyoni
These two days cover the tour highlight: mountain gorilla trekking. You'll hike into the mountains in a guided group and spend about one hour with a wild gorilla clan. If permits are confirmed for day 5, you drive to Lake Bunyoni (one of Africa's deepest lakes) on day 4 and return to camp. Permit availability may shift your schedule, so activities could change based on what's confirmed.

Queen Elizabeth National Park - Ishasha
Leave the forest and mountains behind as you head toward the grassy plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. You'll set up near Ishasha and focus your time on game viewing. Look for various mammals, reptiles, and birds around the park, with special attention to the famous tree-climbing lions the area is known for.

Landmarks Queen Elizabeth National Park - Day 8
Queen Elizabeth National Park - Fort Portal & Rwenzori Mountains
Continue through Queen Elizabeth National Park and Maramagambo Forest toward the Rwenzori Mountains. You'll do an easy hike through indigenous villages and forest to reach Rwenzori Viewpoint, where you can see 5,000 m high mountains surrounded by tropical forest. After a picnic lunch, head down the mountain to Fort Portal's outskirts and camp for the night.

Fort Portal - Masindi
Early morning departure as you travel through the green tea plantation region around Fort Portal. The roads get rough sometimes, but the landscapes make it worth it. You'll drive through Hoima and on to Masindi, where you'll stay overnight.

Murchison Falls National Park
Morning drive takes you into Murchison Falls National Park where you'll go on a chimpanzee trek. Later, see Murchison Falls where the Nile drops 40 meters through a narrow passage into the Rift Valley. Head downstream to a jetty and hop on a game viewing boat tour along the Nile in the northern section. You'll camp near where the Victoria and Albert Nile meet, in the 'Big Game Area' known for rare Rothschild giraffes.

- Days 12 - 13
Jinja
Early departure heading south to Jinja, known as East Africa's adventure city. You'll have a full day here with optional activities available like rafting, bungee jumping, horse riding, or a boat trip. Stay at an overland camp for two nights to take advantage of what the area offers.

Entebbe
After breakfast, transfer to Entebbe airport where the tour ends. You can also arrange an extension stay if you'd like to spend more time in Uganda.
