Itinerary
- Day 1
Bogotá
You'll arrive at Bogotá airport where transportation takes you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to rest and adjust to the altitude (over 8,600 feet/2,600 meters). Grab some local Colombian food if you're up for it, or just relax at the hotel and prepare for what's coming ahead.

- Day 2
Bogotá
After breakfast, your guide meets you to explore La Candelaria, Bogotá's historic center. You'll walk through vibrant street art, check out El Carmen and Santa Clara churches (now a museum), and see Bolívar Square with the Nariño Palace and its gardens and astronomical observatory. Lunch includes traditional ajiaco soup, then you head to the Gold Museum to see over 36,000 gold pieces and precious emeralds. Later, go to Monserrate at 3,200 meters/10,500 feet for hiking, cable car, or funicular rides with views of Bogotá and the valley below.

Bogotá - Zipaquirá - Medellín
After breakfast, you depart at 8:00 AM to Paloquemao Market or Codabas, one of Bogotá's largest food markets, and taste fresh juices. Then drive about 1 hour to Zipaquirá to visit the Salt Cathedral, carved inside an ancient salt mine with salt sculptures and lit corridors showing the Stations of the Cross. Following lunch at a local spot, you transfer to the airport for your flight to Medellín, where your guide meets you and takes you to your hotel.

- Day 4
Medellín
Start with hotel breakfast, then explore Medellín, the 'City of Eternal Spring.' Your tour includes El Poblado Park and Lleras Park, the vibrant Commune 13 with electric stairs and street art, and uses the Metro Cable and Metro to reach the Metropolitan Cathedral, Junín commercial passage, and Botero Square. You'll visit the Museum of Antioquia for Fernando Botero's work, then see 'Pueblito Paisa' and Sabaneta. After lunch with bandeja paisa (regional specialty), spend time at a local coffee plantation learning about Colombian coffee production from bean to cup.

After breakfast, head to Santa Fe de Antioquia, a Colombian Heritage Village from 1541. The striking Western Bridge over the Cauca River welcomes you. Lunch features Antioquia's local food, then you return to Medellín for the night.

Cartagena
After hotel breakfast, you take a guided walking tour through historic Cartagena de Indias, surrounded by 13 kilometers of ancient stone walls. You'll explore charming squares and colorful streets, then visit the San Pedro Claver church and monastery to learn about the city's cultural heritage. Lunch features Caribbean cuisine, and afterward you visit Castillo San Felipe, Spanish military architecture from 1536 expanded over centuries against pirate attacks. You'll wander the cobbled streets lined with bougainvillea and history.

Cartagena
After breakfast, the day is free to relax at your hotel. An optional full-day tour to Isla del Encanto is available if you want beaches. You'd be picked up at 9:00 AM and take about a 1-hour boat ride to the island on the Baru Peninsula. Spend time on white sand beaches, swim in turquoise water, or try water sports. Your hotel provides lunch with fresh seafood and Colombian food.
