    Chennai

    You'll arrive at the airport where you're greeted with fresh flower garlands and get transferred to your hotel. After checking in, spend the day walking through Chennai's main sights including Fort St. George, the Government Museum, Kapaleeswar Temple, and Marina Beach. It's a good way to get oriented after your journey.

    Starting early after breakfast, you'll drive to Kanchipuram to visit several temples and check out the local markets. The day includes stops at Ekambareswarar Temple, Kamakshi Amman Temple, Kailasanathar Temple, Varadharaja Perumal Temple, and Vaikuntha Perumal Temple. From there, head to Mahabalipuram to see the Five Rathas, Shore Temple, and Arjuna's Penance before settling in for the night.

    After breakfast and a leisurely checkout, you'll drive to Pondicherry. Once you arrive and check in, spend time getting settled in this quiet former French colonial area. The streets have a relaxed feel, and you'll find boutiques and spiritual sites like Sri Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville nearby.

    Pondicherry

    Following breakfast at your hotel, head to Auroville to experience this international spiritual community. Later, explore Pondicherry's sights by wandering the old French quarter with its bougainvillea-lined streets, shopping, and soaking in the local culture. You'll stay another night in town.

    After breakfast, drive to Kumbakonam with stops along the way at Chidambaram's Nataraja Temple, Gangaikonda Cholapuram temple with its 55m tower, and the UNESCO-listed Airavatesvara Temple in Darasuram. You'll arrive in Kumbakonam, check in, and stay at your hotel for the night.

    Thanjavur - Trichy - Madurai

    Breakfast comes first, then you'll head to Thanjavur to see the grand Brihadishwara Temple and the royal palace. Continue on to Trichy where you'll visit Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple and Rock Fort Temple, which sits on an 85-meter high rock. By evening, you'll reach Madurai for an overnight stay.

Later that evening, watch a traditional Kalaripayattu martial arts performance at a local theatre before sleeping.
