Frankfurt
Your driver meets you at Frankfurt airport and gets you settled in. After that, you'll head out on the MS Palladium for a boat tour down the River Main. From the water, you can see Frankfurt's skyline and get a good overview of what the city has to offer. The guide points out major landmarks as you float along.

- Day 2
Idstein
Today you're heading to Idstein in the Taunus region for a day trip. Start by checking out Idstein Castle, which dates back to the 14th century and has Renaissance details plus a tower with views across the area. After that, you'll walk through the historic town center. If you're interested, there's time to visit Nassau Nature Park or stop at a winery to try local wines.

Heidelberg
You'll travel to Heidelberg to spend the day exploring the castle ruins, which blend Gothic and Renaissance styles. The town itself has plenty to see, including the Old Bridge, Karlstor, and the Church of the Holy Spirit. You can also walk through to see Haus zum Ritter and visit Germany's oldest university. If you have energy left, Philosophers' Way offers a nice optional route with views.

Frankfurt to Berlin
This morning you're taking the train from Frankfurt to Berlin. It's a longer journey, so settle in for the ride. Once you arrive at the station, you'll make your own way to your hotel using the tram, metro system, or grabbing a taxi. Plan some time for this transition.

Berlin
Start with a 2-hour guided walking tour through Berlin hitting the main sites: Brandenburg Gate, Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, and sections of the Berlin Wall. Later in the day, you'll head to Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp to learn about the camp's history through the buildings and memorials that remain. It's heavy but important history to understand.

Nuremberg to Rothenburg
You're heading to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, which sits on the Romantic Road and feels like stepping into a different time. The cobblestone streets are lined with half-timbered houses, and there are quiet squares, towers, fountains, and gates all around. It's really like walking back into the Middle Ages with how well things are preserved.

Nuremberg to Munich
The train brings you to Munich, and after you check into your hotel, you'll explore the Altstadt (Old Town). This is the historical medieval heart of Bavaria and where most of the culture happens. Marienplatz is the central spot, dominated by the Neo-Gothic New Town Hall. The famous Glockenspiel carillon performs multiple times throughout the day if you time it right.

- Day 9
Neuschwanstein Castle and Füssen
Today's about Neuschwanstein Castle and Füssen, both set in beautiful Bavarian countryside. You'll tour the castle and check out the scenic spots around it. After that, there's a 2-hour train ride back to Munich where you can relax and watch the landscape pass by. The castle was built by King Ludwig II, and the journey itself is part of the experience.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen or Königssee
You have two optional day trips to choose from. The first takes you to Garmisch-Partenkirchen for Zugspitze, Germany's highest peak, where you'll get views of over 400 other peaks from up there (getting to the top isn't included, so check what that involves). The other option is a day at Königssee in the Berchtesgaden Alps, with its emerald water surrounded by snow-covered mountains. You'll see Germany's highest waterfall and the historic St. Bartholoma chapel from the shore.
