The organisation was chaotic! I booked a 13 day solo trip including all excursions..They ruined my holidays since...
The organisation was chaotic! I booked a 13 day solo trip including all excursions..They ruined my holidays since day 1! 1- Airport pick up: no one there for me.. waited 40min for someone .. when he came, he asked me to walk with him 10min and grab a taxi … when I managed to reach the hotel I was supposed to meet with the supervisor so he would apologize… waited for him, he never showed up ( to note that crab tour is located inside the hotel I was in) 2 - The first excursion to cuza cave + seaweed farm: didn’t follow the plan as I was supposed to have a presentation of Zanzibar culture .. not done and also when arriving to the seaweed farm: it was closed! And they ask us to come back after 2 hours.. after 2 hours the driver decided to take me to a different seaweed farm that never managed a visit before … 3- The second excursion was supposed to be to Pungume island and to swim with dolphins along with sandbank and snorkelling + a private chef to cook a meal for me on a deserted island! So brace yourselves as a lot happened: - the pick up was supposed to be at 8 and no driver showed up .. I called crab tour supervisor and he told me “we pushed to 9” …. Without informing me of, while it’s a private excursion! - We went on the excursion but Surprise… they didn’t check the tides before planning … so we waited for a long time - and jock: no one asked me if I have food restrictions or allergies, while the chef is supposed to cook for me! organization skills level -10! At some point I sensed it and informed the driver about my food restrictions! - and we never went to pungume island nor did we look for dolphins - I came back pissed and finally decided to reach out to the top management … and guess what they didn’t show up or called back on that day even if they promised they will! The day after I threatened I willl expose their scam someone came to apologize and listen to me! You would imagine after all this they will make it better! Wait for it …. 4 - The next excursion was for prison island (went fine and it’s a basic one very short with a guide explaining the history of the island) 5 - The day after safari blue: the most decent trip so far! Yet the snorkeling was shit as the timing was not prepared based on tides… 6 - and after that a new huge miss: for this trip the idea was to spend the day in chumbe island which is a private and preserved island! Crab tour was only involved on driving me to the pick up point and chumbe island team would take it from there and organize the boat trip and all the activities! Jock: driver was late and 😆 he didn’t know where to go! So, for 30min we were turning around and looking for the hotel where the pick up will happen; if not for the tide, I was about to miss the only boat that goes there! The positive thing is that chumbe team was managing the rest and it was amazing: First snorkeling experience with a monitor in water with you and planned based on the tide with a brief session before and professional snorkeling material! a paper to fill in with food restrictions… 7- I had a private trip to Mnemba island .. and a friend wanted to tag along! They asked for 50 USD 8 - I was offered a trip to compensate for the miss.. nice gesture: It was a sunrise boat trip + swimming with dolphins in kzimakazi! The only issue was that the captain was flirty and harassing and I was only with him at 6am in the boat … UNSAFE! When I exposed this to the management they decided to stop collaborating with him… - last but not least the final trip: dhow sunset cruise… They took me again for an idiot as the small boat was not a dhow and this was not a sunset cruise… we took the boat from the hotel to go to the island in front of us after 10min and showed me a place with very loud music …to relax! I complained, so we switched to a mediocre spot with no view! Then they informed me that will be watching the sunset from there… I asked to go back to the hotel canceling the trip!Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before July 2nd, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after July 2nd, 2026, a minimum payment of 25% is required to confirm your booking with Beach and Safari Holidays. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 35 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
