Itinerary
- Day 1
Tokyo
You'll land at either Narita or Haneda and head to Mitsui Garden Hotel Shiodome Italia-gai in downtown Tokyo. The hotel's location works out well since you've got easy access to transport and plenty of restaurants right around the area. After checking in, you can settle in and grab dinner nearby if you're not too tired from travel.

Tokyo
Start your Tokyo exploration at Tsukiji Fish Market, where you can walk through the bustling seafood stalls and grab fresh sushi for breakfast or lunch. From there, head to Odaiba Seaside Park to check out the Rainbow Bridge and the Statue of Liberty replica for some good photo opportunities. Later, make your way to the Sky Observation Deck in Shibuya for views across the entire city. Before wrapping up, stop by the Hachiko statue near Shibuya Station, where you'll likely see crowds of people paying their respects to Tokyo's most famous dog.

Tokyo
Start your morning at Meiji Jingu Shrine, a major spiritual site set within forest grounds near Harajuku Station. The peaceful setting makes for a nice walk before you head over to the Imperial Palace, where the East Gardens are open to visitors year-round and offer a different pace from the busier parts of the city. Later in the day, travel to Asakusa to see Senso-ji Temple, Tokyo's oldest Buddhist temple with nearly 1400 years of history. The temple's entrance gate and surrounding area tend to be lively, especially in the afternoon and evening.

Hakone
Travel to Hakone for the day and board the Hakone Pirate Ship on Lake Ashino, where you'll see Mount Fuji across the water. After that, take the Hakone Ropeway up to Owakudani, a volcanic site with white smoke and sulfur scents. Before heading back, visit the black jade shop at this volcanic area, which locals say can add 7 years to your life.

Fuji Five Lakes Region
Start the day in West Lake Village, where you can see thick-thatched roof cottages and get views of Mount Fuji in the distance. Head to Oishi Park on Lake Kawaguchiko's shores, which has flowers year-round and reflections of Mount Fuji. Walk through Oshino Hakkai's eight pure springs in the Fuji Five Lake region. Tour the Narusawa Hyoketsu Ice Cave, a two-tunnel cave formed 1150 years ago. End at Arakurayama Sengen Park for panoramic Mount Fuji views over Fujiyoshida City.

A private vehicle picks you up from your hotel and takes you to the airport for your flight to Sapporo. Once you land and get through the airport, head to HOTEL MYSTAYS Premier Sapporo Park to check in and settle into your new location.

Sapporo Region
Visit Hokkaido Shrine, which was built during the Meiji restoration and is known as one of the best cherry blossom viewing spots in northern Japan. Stop by Shiroi Koibito Park, a sweets-themed attraction featuring the famous Hokkaido biscuit with exhibits and tours of how they're made. Head to the historic Otaru Canal with its old brick buildings and warehouses. If time allows, take a scenic walk toward Cape Kamui for crystal-clear ocean views.

End your day at Ningle Terrace, a cozy retreat with 17 handmade craft shops in the forest that lights up beautifully at night.

Lake Toya & Lake Shikotsu

Check out the Sairo Observation Deck for views of Lake Toya and Nakajima, known as Hokkaido's non-freezing lake. Explore Lake Shikotsu National Park, the northernmost ice-free lake with clear waters and mountains all around.
