Most of the time, family holidays were treated as a thing to endure by our children, so when they were speeding ahead of us through the Kyoto temple garden, it was clear how well the 10 Day Private Japan Family tour was designed. It was easy to get around, with a private driver taking us to and from any places we wanted to go and seats set aside in the bullet train to ensure we didn't end up pushing wheelie suitcases or tired kids. The accommodations were comfortable and definitely family friendly as everyone would sleep in one tatami room in the Ryokan night, which was the favourite memory of the trip. The meals were somewhat freeform and we were shown some interesting and child-friendly spots where we could eat whatever we liked. The guide was great and made history interesting and fun for the kids, but not boring for the adults! Ten days seemed too short a time and everyone went home happy.Show more
