This trip will start in Hanoi (HAN) and end in Ho Chi Minh City (SGN). We will arrange the private airport transfer at any time based on your flight schedules. This tour is based on English-speaking guides; you will join the group tours in Vietnam (group size may be 12-16 people). The group tour is NOT that you share with the same group from the beginning to the end.

Is there the possibility to add: 1. The trip Hue to Hanoi by overnight train, 2, one overnight cruise on tthe Mekong, and 3. side trips around Hanoi, instead of too much time in the city. Even if this means less time in Hue and in Hanoi.

This itinerary covers highlights from the South to the North: Mekong Delta (2 days 1 night), Hoi An (3 nights - including a day trip to Hue), Halong Bay (2 days 1 night) and a day trip to Ninh Binh. I highly recommend taking direct flight from Danang to Hanoi (around 1:30 hours), so your trip will run smoothly, as the night train's amenities in Vietnam are very standard.

Can I shorten the trip to 9 days instead of the 11 as above? The 11-day trip might make sense, but my flight back is on the 9th.

About the trip cost: Our package includes 2 parts: Upfront Payment + Local Payment. - For Upfront Payment, you have to pay before the trip on the Tourradar system. - For the Local Payment, it covers flight tickets during the trip, the English-speaking guide fee, and some other local fees for a wholesome experience. You can pay directly to us ON YOUR ARRIVAL DAY by cash (new USD bills), or a credit card payment link, NOT compulsory to pay in advance like the Upfront Payment. We just separate the price into Upfront Payment and Local payment to help our clients be more flexible in planning their payment for the trip. Currently, we do not support tours that have groups that can join you from the beginning to the end of the trip. Each customer will have a different convenient schedule such as their duration, their travel date, or the different international flights. Therefore, it will be difficult to find someone with the same dates, the same interests as you as well as willing to share the room with you. The group tour is NOT that you share with the same group from the beginning till the end. Most of our tour is a partial group tour in which you will have a group tour for excursion at each place, for airport pick up and accommodation are private (stay in your own room, not share a room with anyone on the trip). Therefore, the price will be higher than the price of a group of 2 people (Sharing the room, transfer, tour cost,...) with single supplement charge.

Do we come back to starting city?

This trip will start in Ho Chi Minh city and end in Hanoi. We won't be back to Ho Chi Minh city at the end of the trip. However, you can arrange to book a domestic flight to Ho Chi Minh from Hanoi at the end of the trip if you need to be back to Ho Chi Minh.

We, family of 4, booked this tour expecting 9 to 11 days of exploring Vietnam's natural beauty. Instead, we only received 3.5 days of actual touring. The rest of the time consisted of free days or airport transit days. The actual guided tour layout was: • Hanoi: 1 day • Cruise : 1 day • Hoi An: 0.5 day • Ho Chi Minh City: 1 day When I raised my serious unhappiness with the company, they attempted to fix it by offering 1.5 days of additional tours and free food. I accepted the extra touring to make use of our time, but I rejected the free food. While I appreciate their offer of extra 1-1/2 days tour but It’s still short of my expectation. I must mention here those 3 and half days guided tours were excellent. The name "Astonishing Vietnam In 11 Days" is completely misleading. I strongly urge future tourists to check the specific activities listed for each and every day activities before booking this package.Show more

Is there the possibility to add: 1. The trip Hue to Hanoi by overnight train, 2, one overnight cruise on tthe Mekong, and 3. side trips around Hanoi, instead of too much time in the city. Even if this means less time in Hue and in Hanoi.

  This itinerary covers highlights from the South to the North: Mekong Delta (2 days 1 night), Hoi An (3 nights - including a day trip to Hue), Halong Bay (2 days 1 night) and a day trip to Ninh Binh. I highly recommend taking direct flight from Danang to Hanoi (around 1:30 hours), so your trip will run smoothly, as the night train's amenities in Vietnam are very standard.

  If this year: I advise you to do this trip from the beginning of Feb 2026, it will be better for you. You should avoid the period from 14th - 22nd February 2026 because it's the Lunar New Year - the biggest holiday of Vietnamese people, many businesses and services may be closed or have limited hours, crowd in some destinations. To avoid last-minute booking, you can consider the dates in March and April. It has nice weather and is not in the rainy season.

  About the trip cost: Our package includes 2 parts: Upfront Payment + Local Payment.
  
  - For Upfront Payment, you have to pay before the trip on the Tourradar system.
  - For the Local Payment, it covers flight tickets during the trip, the English-speaking guide fee, and some other local fees for a wholesome experience. You can pay directly to us ON YOUR ARRIVAL DAY by cash (new USD bills), or a credit card payment link, NOT compulsory to pay in advance like the Upfront Payment.
  
  We just separate the price into Upfront Payment and Local payment to help our clients be more flexible in planning their payment for the trip.
  
  Currently, we do not support tours that have groups that can join you from the beginning to the end of the trip. Each customer will have a different convenient schedule such as their duration, their travel date, or the different international flights. Therefore, it will be difficult to find someone with the same dates, the same interests as you as well as willing to share the room with you. The group tour is NOT that you share with the same group from the beginning till the end. Most of our tour is a partial group tour in which you will have a group tour for excursion at each place, for airport pick up and accommodation are private (stay in your own room, not share a room with anyone on the trip).

Payment information
- For any tour departing before November 26th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after November 26th, 2026, a minimum payment of 10% is required to confirm your booking with Vietnam Tour Fun. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
