      Elaine

      TravelerWritten May 2026

Could you please confirm if there are plenty of restaurant options available for travelers to have lunch at the tour locations?

    • ColletteOperatorWritten May 2026

Our modern, air-conditioned motor coaches are intended to house the entire tour group with a few rows empty being typical, so you would travel with an average of 37 people (maximum of 44) and still have room on the bus. The bus comes equipped with an emergency restroom, but please be advised all major stretches of travel come with a rest stop and the possibility of more flex-time between destinations -so it is not advised that the toilet in the motor coach be used at all, if avoidable.

    • ColletteOperatorWritten May 2026

Absolutely, and you may actually be overwhelmed by choice! The advantage to having Collette hand-pick he locations we visit, the meals included, etc. is that we have sifted through the best experiences to provide authentic as well as familiar food experiences to satisfy and challenge most palates while keeping most of those choices in proximity to our touring areas. All of the major locations we visit will have some form of local refreshment available or within a reasonable distance which may fit into your leisure time. For all meals that are on your own, you can always ask your Tour Manager for guidance and/or your hotel concierge to get their best recommendations.

Collette will make reasonable efforts to accommodate any special needs that you may have. • S

    Samuel

    Asked on April 21st, 2025

Is transportation on the continent by bus or rail?

    Transport
    • ColletteOperatorWritten April 2025

The majority of travel between major area of interest and attraction visits is done by modern air-conditioned motorcoach or bus. In-person visits require walking or other means of travel as specified in our tour materials.

    • S

      Samuel

      TravelerWritten April 2025

Why is this advertised as $3599 but billing comes up as over $4000. That is quite a difference.

    • ColletteOperatorWritten April 2025

The advertised rate advises that the trip is starting "from" $3599, meaning this rate is available on some of the departure dates, but not all. If you look at the tour page before proceeding, it provides the full land package cost on the chosen date.

  • K

    Karen

    Asked on April 15th, 2025

What's the best time of year to visit Nova Scotia. Are there tours where we can stay in NS and not go to PEI?

    Tour Details
    • ColletteOperatorWritten April 2025

The best time to visit Nova Scotia is from May to October, with May, June, and September being particularly good choices for shoulder seasons with fewer crowds and pleasant weather. July and August offer peak summer temperatures and outdoor activities, while September and October are known for stunning fall foliage. It looks like the only tour that has Nova Scotia will indeed have 2 nights in PEI.

  • K

    Katrina

    Asked on March 31st, 2025

What is the rate for a single traveler. I am looking at the trips leaving either July 27, or Aug.3

    Price / Availability
    Single supplement
    • ColletteOperatorWritten March 2025

To address your immediate inquiry, under the 27 Jul 2025 departure, you would be looking at a $1000 USD single supplement amount. So the total per person as a Solo traveler is $5,149 USD. This is also the case for the 3 Aug 2025 departure.

    • ColletteOperatorWritten March 2025

The Single Supplement would be $1600. So the total per person as a Solo traveler is $7,299 CAD per person. This is also the case for the 3 Aug 2025 departure.

  • D

    Daniela

    Asked on December 1st, 2024

Would there be some free time to break away and visit family near Kentville?

    Tour Details
    • ColletteOperatorWritten December 2024

Realistically, the flexibility allotted on your itinerary while you are in Halifax may work for break-away visit independent of what the rest of your tour group is doing so long as it is not a major attraction or travel date. We adhere to the itinerary, and have built in leisure time to enable travelers to get their own taste of the region or visit with friends and relatives. The main suggestion here would be to coordinate with your Tour Manager when they provide their welcome letter before departure.
