Did a Kilimanjaro climb with Great Lake Expedition, as well as a safari. For both, absolutely great pre-trip guidance & advice (thanks Damsoni), and great team of guides, drivers & support staff. Safety was a top priority, especially during the climb: twice-daily med-checks, walking & climbing support, and comfortable tents (including the hot-water bunnies!). Special thanks to Sam, Thomas, Innocent and Tom, as well as Jacky! As to the safari, special thanks to Abdul who drove safely, located some great game and treated us to some great 'picnics' along the way.Show more

Raphael planned an adventure we won't soon forget because he recognized our needs! They have surpassed our expectations since they have a true understanding of what they do and because of their knowledge and experience. Furthermore, they gave us a lot of assistance when we encountered difficulties landing at Kilimanjaro airport due to aircraft delays and cancellations. .Show more

Tips I would give would be to pay a little extra money to have the private toilet on the climb. The public toilets are pretty filthy. Make sure you pay attention to the extensive packing list that Great Lake Expedition sends you in the beginning for the climb. You really do need most of it. I also wished I had brought my own high-powered binoculars for the Safari.Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before August 28th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after August 28th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Great Lake Expedition. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
