Overall the trip was fantastic. All the local guides were excellent in every way and although busy we never felt rushed. Overall great tour and well organized. They do swap you off to local guides for each location which may be upsetting to a nervous traveler but it was not an issue for me and the tour group remained the same throughout so we problem solved together when needed. That said, all the guides were really good. The only things that kept me from going with 5 stars (I would say my review is 4.5) is SunExpress is an awful airline and a couple of the hotels were REALLY loud. I would still recommend this company though and Turkey as a whole.Show more

The tour operator, Visit to Ephesus, did very poorly in coordinating my tour. (I travelled solo). They "mix and match" travellers with different schedules - in my case often resulting in stressful outcomes. I can list at least 3 ocasions where I was left at wits end. (1) The transfer driver for my flight to Kayseri "slept in" for a 5:30 am pick up!. I had to badger the operator for a taxi replacement. Upon getting into the taxi, the driver asked me "which terminal?" (2) On the return flight from Kayseri to Istanbul, I reached the airport at 5:38 pm for a flight scheduled to leave at 6:15 pm. When I complained to Visit to Ephesus, their reply was "it's the transfer operator fault". (3) On the last day of the tour, the guide sent a message to wait at my hotel lobby for him. When he did not showed up after half an hour, and after I contacted the tour operator, he texted me to say he was waiting at another hotel (there were other travelers at the other hotel). He was gracious to get me a taxi to take me there, but the taxi sent me to the wrong hotel! I have travelled with Tourradar, but this has been a very stressful and disappointing experience. I have to acknowledge that the hotels and places that I visited were good. But they have been spoilt by this particular tour operator, Visit to Ephesus. There are other incidents. For the sake of brevity, I will not list them here. I have also talked to other travelers, and some were just as disappointed as me.Show more
